Make Bruce Wayne poor. His Batmobile is made from salvaged parts from a junkyard and he has to MacGyver his gadgets together from junk parts. He constantly has money problems and helps out other poor people in his neighborhood.

I did really like the idea of taking away Bruce's mansion and making him live in a brownstone apartment.

War Games 2 only now it's a global scenario involving unique DC players (Intergang, League of Assassins, Checkmate, Spyral, etc) and Bruce is shown each scenario is tied to a specific Bat Family member with the goal to bring all under Batman Inc. control and if it can't happen to destroy the organization by any means necessary. When he can't remember making it he learns it was a Fail-Safe/Zur-En-Arrh creation to take care of a world without a Batman but still dealing with all of his choices/wards.

Bruce upgrades to a new version of the Batmobile, but after a few days the old model goes missing from the Batcave. A week later he's turned up nothing but news reaches him that that the old Batmobile has been seen cruising the streets of Gotham. That night he goes out searching for it and witnesses a scene where it plows through a man crossing the road. The old Batmobile would be a sort of faceless enemy similar to the fuel truck from Steven Spielberg's Duel as an almost malevolent otherworldly force in control of a vehicle. It would be an actual old version of the Batmobile (you pick your old favorite, it's that one.) The Gotham police wouldn't be willing to talk to Batman since the Batmobile has turned Batman into a maniac in the eyes of the city's populace.

Just a bunch of short detective stories, kinda like Dark Patterns.

I've worked on this for a long time for no reason, but never in earnest with finished drawings.

I'm no good at writing mysteries so instead it's about a 1910-20s Batman. Bruce serves in WW1 where he meets Alfred, an older British servicemen who he befriends/they save each others lives. Bruce confides in Alfred his goal when he gets home of making Gotham truly crime free, Alfred agrees to help him. 1920s Gotham would feature Bane, Penguin, and the Falcones as the big villains of the first arc. All of whom are smugglers. If this is like that cartoon I genuinely haven't seen it.

After seeing how effective his large Bat-Family has gotten at fighting crime overall, Bruce decides to take a step back from his role as Batman a bit and focus on the work he can do as Bruce Wayne to improve Gotham, leading him to running for mayor so he can try to create change from the top.
Basically a story to finally shut up all those whiny people who complain "Why doesn't Bruce solve Gotham's problems with his money instead of violence?" and show the kind of problems that would arise from that as well.

I've been rattling around with a story.
Recently all sorts of depraved videos have flooded Gotham. CP, Snuff, Torture etc.
A new gang is in town and they're the sickest and most depraved group of people Batman have faced. They don't have superpowers and they don't have any grand plan or corny supervillain plot. It's what makes them so scary. Kids and people all around start to go missing at unprecedented rates with seemingly no connections to this group. They're simply ghosts.
It involves a lot of my OC and kids random thoughts I have, as you can see nothing too solid yet.

Another one I have is one day all Gothams screens cut too a stranger in a mask and he gives out several names, addresses, crimes and money.
Its a random list and it starts of "innocently" enough. A majority of the names are nobodies and no-one thinks anything of it too much.
Then it escalate. CEOS, politicians, cops. Same deal. A crime they have committed and a "Bounty". People catch on to what it is and start the "Hunt" as the man in the screen calls it.
Gotham is chaos as people are being hunted in the streets.
It escalates even more. Simply crimes such as larceny are given exorbitant bounties. Many people are thinking they're righteous.
The deepest secrets of the most powerful people are exposed and they are being hunted as well, villains aren't exempt as people even attempt to break into Arkham.

Is this the same Bat-Family that constantly betrays Bruce at every chance and helped a bunch of criminals trained by Catwoman?

Bruce disappears in an explosion,batman is still running around,bat family chase him,people like penguin nygma harley and ivy are left brutalised and catatonic with fear,raz falls to dust and stays like that for a year,bane is left with no muscle tissue at all and stretched skin so on and so forth.
He gets to the joker at the same time robins do,joker gets his color back and stops laughing,green smoke starts pouring out of his pores,he starts weeping and begging as flames of skeletal Bat spectre burn him away.
As Bruce died God decided to make a tiny localised spectre and merge it with the dark knight,batman becomes undead and incorporates parts of old knight suits.
This leads to azrael becoming batman to convince presence to let bruce rest then jason takes over,bruce comes back next crisis with alfred as payment for his service

I take them money and tell them to make a big media hubbub about how they aren't going to publish Batman any longer. Then, after a year of no Batman, Batman gets rebooted with the Batman Returns designs and style.

I'll get somebody to compose the bones of a multi-layered heist story, with Neal Adams doing the art and putting meat on it with dialog.

There will be Penguin rocketeers.

Batman will be shirtless.

There will be Bat-Penis.

The Riddler captures a bunch of people who he has deemed as blights on society in need of cleansing, and one of them is Bruce Wayne. They have to survive a series of traps similar to those in Saw, but the twist is that Bruce can't make use of any of his usual Batman tools.

One complaint I've always had about Batman is how they kind of demonize the mentally ill.
As such, I'd do a story set in Gotham's psychiatric hospital that is NOT for the criminally insane. Make it clear that mentally ill people are more likely to be victims of crimes than perpetrators. Show that Bruce Wayne funds the place and unlike Arkham it's actually effective, with lots of people getting rehabilitated and going back into society. But some strange things have been recently going on with some patients becoming violent out of nowhere so Batman investigates. It turns out that a lot of Arkham's inmates have died in recent years due to Arkham constantly getting blown up and Joker constantly murdering his own henchmen, so Jeremiah Arkham (who was always jealous about the pyshiatric hospital's good record) is trying to make the patients in the psychiatric hospital violent (using Scarecrow's fear gas and the Mad Hatter's mind control technology that were stolen from them) so that they'll get transferred to Arkham and they'll thus get more funding.
Ultimately Batman foils this scheme, the patients who had become violent get better.

First I'd probably focus more on scarier villains. Man-bat, Clayface, Professor Pyg, Dollmaker, etc
I'd have a running story where Damian meets a teenaged heiress at a high society ball and becomes smitten with her. He goes to Dick for advice about it.
Eventually have them date. I like the idea of an issue where Bruce ensures Damian that it's okay for him to go on a date while Batman has to fight like 4 villains alone.
Probably would do a Dickbats arc. I just think that's really fun.
Lastly I'd probably reform Riddler again. Detective Riddler is literally my favorite thing they've ever done with a Batman villain so I'd bring something like that back.

Opening of issue is Joker getting gunned down by the cops in the first scene. Then he gets back up because “you can’t kill the clown”. No one even bothers to go to Joker’s funeral because they all know he’s going to be up and about soon enough. The story is actually about murderous vigilante named the Historian pissed that Batman villains are constantly vandalizing and destroying Gotham’s uniquer architecture and historical site. He kills a couple or z-listers like The Murderous merry-go-round, the Rabid dog, Batshit Crazy, and Bruce Pain before Batman stops him. Then the Court of Owls gets him released from Arkham.

Environmental environment do survey workmen slighter swamp and discover the mystical properties dealing with elements there.

Causing a surge in industry wanting to mine the swamp. And also pushes mass land development in the swamp and thus extending infrastructure of Gotham to that area.
So not only are legitimate businesses dying for the area, you’ve got gangsters and Gotham villains trying to lame claim to the area as well.


So now Batman has to deal with a boom in crime. Plus you’ve got environmental terrorists like Poison Ivy and even Solon Grundy killing people to keep Slaughter Swamp free.

Batman is a boring character. The biggest challenge is working around his boring personality.
