>>149043077 >Never understood the appeal of VG-Cats, its literally "What if Penny Arcade, but furry?" What in that sentence doesn't sound like a winning concept to you?

>>149043112 Definetly not early on when the comic had a lot more violent slapstick, but it definetly went into the 'either are friends with benefits or are developing a relationship' side after some of the backstory/non-gag comics
>>149043077 When it started the art was considered significantly better than most webcomics and the humor was very on-point for the 00s internet. It stood out pretty significantly from the crowd. Today it has wayyyyyyyyyy more competition and video game-focused gag webcomics are seen as passe.
>>149042564 (OP) I kinda like that after all these years, Aeris still dresses like a scene kid from the late 00's-early 10's with all the fishnet and now the exposed thong straps.
Like everyone else I'm not a huge fan of the current art style, but I'm very happy to see these two again, and obviously I like the implication they're fucking casually Also the high-leg underwear on Aeris is sexo

>>149044849 I'm like 99% sure this was him, it perfectly matches the comic's style at the time. Wish he'd gotten into porn back when it looked like this.
>>149042564 (OP) >>149042843 >>149043147 The new style isn't bad, but I agree that the older one was more appealing. I liked VG cats back in the day, so it's nice to see it returning
>>149043077 VGC added its own spin to "what if penny arcade" by throwing the cats into the game universes themselves, so it wasn't just couch sitting strips. It also helps that... it's just something about Aeris.
>>149044849 It's a fan comic. Scott used to have a bunch in its own page in the website. (god, the modern website sucks so hard. Thankfully I have my own 2008 archives of the pages...)
>>149044948 >>149045132 OOH right I remember... but I am sure it was actually posted on the webcomic's site for a very short time, as an April Fool's or something.
Why was Scott Pantsman's art more capable when he wasn't making porn? I swear he added extra detail in his "porn" that just made everything more grimey and unappealing. Did he really put in extra effort just to make everyone regret getting him to draw porn of his cats and their supporting cast, or was he under the delusion that people found the more uncanny detail he put into his lewds sexually appealing?
>>149046635 his style was at its best around 2010-2014, then he started getting a bit overdetailed with his works and that was when he did porn, and it just didn't work out
>>149047189 This anon gets it. That was around the sweet spot where he had clearly improved as an artist but wasn't going overboard with details with characters that aren't designed for such and it was also when he was toning down the "LOL SO RANDUMB XDDDD" faces he did a lot in his older strips.
