The universe expanded as the show went on. Initially it seemed like Hoagie was behind a lot of it but later on they introduced entire wings of other scientists working on 2x4 tech. But yeah there clearly was some kind of science behind taping a soda bottle to a plank of wood and a aluminum can and then being able to fire lasers out of it.

What is the end goal of the KND? It's been a while since I've watched the show, but what would they do once they all become adults? What would a KND-ruled world look like? Would there just be a time-limit on a person until they become the most despised thing in society? And if the GKND just wants to kill them, does that mean they'll kill themselves when they get older? How does reproduction work? Would they have to have babies *as* kids so they wouldn't have to have adults around?
I'm tired as hell right now, maybe there's something I'm forgetting or don't know. I just wanted to put a few questions/

For the KND, there is no "End Goal". The organization was made to oppose adults who were ridiculously evil monsters to kids who couldn't defend themselves. Their business is to ensure that adults and kids just get along and live normal lives.
That being said, the GKND do have an end goal with their ideology believing that adulthood for all species is a disease/ existential threat on par with the Flood from Halo or Chaos Gods from 40k. Exterminatus any planet that has a majority population of inhabitants being adults, regardless of their morality, and ensure that space throughout the cosmos is kid only. Which is just a guess.

If I had to guess what would've happened had GKND been picked up for a tv series. The GKND would've been revealed to have been controlled the entire time by a manipulative alien (Adult or kid, pick you poison) under everyone's noses, who just wants space for themselves.

No offense, but that kind of feels like a copout. The idea of there being KND operatives that are antagonists sounds a lot more interesting. Maybe that's just me.

Oh it definitely is a copout for sure, but it makes the most sense given what we were shown from the pitch years ago and the og show's series finale. The GKND belive being an adult is a disease and anathema to life, they manipulated Numbah One into indoctrination via a fake "Splinter cell" in the KND who were extremists that wanted to get rid of adults permanently. But at the same time, you can't expect a show to make an entire upper organization that's full of alien kids be completely brainwashed into the doctrine. So there has to be a conspiracy, or upper echelon pulling the strings that's the true threat not just to adults, but all life in general for the sake of evil.

The show would need that copout, otherwise it would have an even worse chance of being picked up for television.

Then that's fine, all I'm saying is that its more likely that this would've been the case. That at the top of the GKND that's responsible for giving the organization the okay to destroy loving planets with what amounts to giant alien plungers (Global decomissioning) is either a Kid who is doing this for their own benefit and has gone power mad. Or an Alien adult who has been fooling untold numbers of species throughout the cosmos that this is the right call.

Hell, if being an adult is legit a disease, then that's your antagonist controlling the kid above the kid above the man above the kid. Its all layers and conspiracies at the end of the day.

This would've been the reveal at the peak of the show, but not what the main story is about.

I'm rewatching KND at the moment and it's a pretty fun show.
Fav episodes are definitely the ones that lean into them being naive kids, like them not knowing what a bra is so they assume it's a secret weapon. Or not knowing where babys come from so they think the hospital just kidnaps them from somewhere

One of my favourite episodes is that one where they go to like a cliff where all the teens in town go to date/fuck in their cars, and they think it's some crazy gathering, but it's them wanting to have fun. And i appreciate that the teens on that episode are super chill, until the kids ruin their dance party.
