To be fair when the whole town hates you and even your parents keep you at arms length I'd be a bit snarky too. Also prefer this when nerds or losers still had bite to them. Feel like most shows and movies now forget that you gotta be ready especially as a kid. I don't disagree with you that they would need to recast IF it's going to be set at the same time frame as the OG movie (and I bet it will even if Anna Kendrick is older), but they would likely cast someone who can fake sound like the Kodi Smit-McPhee did (who is British and his 'normal' voice when he did Paranorman doesn't even sound like Norman); he sounded a bit more like his own voice then in Maya the Bee, which also doesn't really sound like Norman, particularly since it sounds more British. Even in 2012, when he was an older teenager who would have been in HS, his normal speaking voice (just check any interviews) didn't sound like Norman. And he was about 14-15 when he did the role, so his voice had likely changed/dropped as much as it was going to.

They must have taken it down once the BluRay got released, because it was on the LAIKA channel and this is all they have for Coroline. But it's very similar to many of these, just talking about how the puppets were stored, and showing the difference face plates (essentially expressions and how they show facial movement) and how they had to reshoot some stuff with the face plates and showing the difference, which you don't really notice in the theater and would probably only notice on a high quality flat screen if you paused it. It was pretty interesting but short, maybe 10 or 12 minutes or so?

ParaNorman has next to nothing in common with Coraline outside of being spooky and having a similar artstyle. ParaNorman is basically an expanded Halloween special or an episode of something like Archie's Weird Mysteries. One of those old 90's/2000s paranormal shows. It's kind of a love letter to that kind of thing more than anything like Coraline.
