Devil Hulk ALSO knows who Peter is, since he wasn't affected by Mephisto, and he kinda threw a "you screwed yourself" at the end of the crossover comic even if he likes peter for treating banner as a friend and never harming him or the hulks.

She'd try but the author/editor would actively stop her and she'd eventually stop with the troubling realization that the status quo is something you can't mess with in marvel without getting punish. Well that's how someone like Christopher Hastings would probably handle it, Gwen trying to help but failing and getting depressed from the result, other writers versions of Gwen would probably be to much of a "quirky chungus" to even consider using her power to help Peter.

I see your proposal, and raise it: Gwen tries to do it as you say, fails, gets depressed, but comes to a realization that she isn't as powerless as she thought. Characters act differently depending on the writer. Canon from one run to another is flexible. End the arc with Gwenpool carving out a section of her comic where MJ and Peter *do* beat Mephisto, DO save their marriage, DO get to live happily every after... knowing that it isn't canon out there, but it IS canon in here. A tiny seed an idea that things can be better. A spark that, if she is lucky, might grow into something bigger. And if it doesn't grow... at least she can keep it alive in this place so its not lost entirely.

Basically saving Spiderman's marriage and putting it on a life raft adrift in the comics continuity multiverse in the hopes that it will find safe harbor somewhere.

The treatment of Gwenpool is honestly such a tragically fucking perfect microcosm of the general shitty state of the industry overall.

Is it really that hard to put in even a half-assed effort to build off of your success instead of spitefully ignore it? This shit right here is a perfect example of why people complain that comics are impossible to get into now, because nothing ever pays off and the characters share nothing from issue to issue besides a name and a general costume.
