Why are modern cartoon adaptations so obsessed with photorealism? There was a point when they fully embraced the silliness and aesthetic of cartoons, now it's like it's embarrassing to watch actors being goofy on brightly colored set pieces.

Don't worry there's still plenty of movies where a cartoon character is transported TO OUR WORLD THIS SUMMER and takes a ride in a car with a live action person.

Live-action adaptations of comic/cartoon stuff shouldn't exist period. It doesn't translate well to live-action.

The amount of Alvins, Yogis, and Smurfs out number this one movie.

I am very surprised they keep trying to make Smurfs profitable, though. Pretty sure the last animated movie flopped.
