Just finished season 2 and had a great time watching this series.

I would love to see more animated shows like Pantheon aimed at an older demographic that doesn't soly rely on edgy humor and swearing non stop to be considered an "adult" show, much like this and blue eye samurai.

The ending implying that the entire show is just one of many realities being relived by Maddie and Casper in their god like states so that life is worth living more as a mortal being with no knowledge of what will happen is a major mind fuck for me and it left me sitting on my couch thinking about it for a good 5 minutes, 9 outta 10 will mentally process this and watch again!

Plus the story is pretty interesting to watch & I like the plot. Which is a double win

It was pretty much one of the best cartoons Ive watched in past few years. But I found it weird that they dropped the "upload is suicide of the original person" points in latter episodes.

the fuck? the ideological shit is what made it great. season 1 presented the question of what makes us human and gave us various flavors of whether or not the machines are humans, it was when season 2 stopped caring about the question and unconvincingly decided that the machines are human, the wanted to rush the shit out of some rise of the machines actually god has a plan, but also there are layers of gods, also god quit the show.
what i think you're hating is the preachy shit at the end about how nothing matters and bad stuff is actually good. i hate that too because why the fuck did the story go here?

I adored S1, then I dropped S2 halfway because it got too depressing; I knew where the show was headed and I didn't care for it.

Season 1 was absolutely great. Season 2 felt like it was two seasons squashed into one, where they decided to keep the filler.

The issue with Season 2 is that it didn't feel human enough. Little things like Laurie grooving to The Promise go a long way.
