The original Cates plans for the Ultimate Universe clearly planned to use the original 1610 setting, which would make Miles important, and as an obsessive hyper fan of the OG UM universe, I'd have even wanted that. However, Hickman made the new USM an entirely new universe in 6160, which Miles has less than nothing to do with. It's Ultimate in branding only, but that branding means they feel obligated to acknowledge Miles' existence. He shouldn't fucning be here.

Now we've got a mini-series, written by one of the worst writers I've ever seen, giving a stilted tour of the setting. The events here won't be acknowledged in Ultimate Marvel or in Miles' own title either. What a waste of time, but at least we can be thankful that it Ziggler can't fuck up a good thing.
