This is why we need more cartoons like modern SpongeBob, shows that are proud that they’re a cartoon and embrace their roots. Like I’m not a fan of beanmouth or faux anime shows, but if we lived in a country where there was equal amounts of wacky Looney Tunes-esque stuff, bean mouth, fake anime, CocoMelon-like KidzSlop, Family Guy ripoffs, and action cartoons all coexisting as one library of western cartoons made for a variety of people so they can pick out which kind of cartoon they like the most and form seperate fanbases and opinions of equal amounts, I would be fine with it, but sadly, we live in a country where reboots/revivals are being more successful, and beanmouth and Family Guy ripoffs are being pumped out in large amounts for quantity over quality, leaving actual well-animated Looney Tunes-esque projects to rot because the corporate suits aren’t giving them as high a budget because of how stingy they are.
