The issue is that we’re in a poor state for animation in general:
1. Tons of companies have become more stingy and given less higher budgets to shows, this is why all kids shows of the past 15 years look like beanmouth shit and adult cartoons are motion tweened Family Guy ripoffs, those are the two styles easiest to animate. This is also why reboots/revivals of this decade like P&F and KOTH look significantly worse than they previously did.
2. Most original IPs are doing poorly, tons of new cartoons these days are getting canned after one season. Companies these days have little faith in original IPs and thus market don’t market them well. Should also mention how streaming is affecting the box office successes of original animated IPs in theaters.
I’m sure that the animation industry will eventually get out of its current slump like it did with the previous animation dark age, but if it’ll happen anytime soon is another question
