Nobody (that isn't retarded or false-flagging from basedjak party) is upset that Tamers is a burnt out on making SU for over a decade for free.
People just want him to say it. They don't want to hold out subscribing/supporting him on Patreon for a year in the hope that he'll make the thing they supported again (Yes by the time he started doing ponies he was still making Patreon money, though he makes 4x as much now) only for Tamers to not say anything and /mlp/ to smugpost them for having the audacity to have liked Tamers for nearly 10 years before he started doing ponies and not wanting to follow him over to being a pony-exclusive channel.

If Tamers wants to do something else and shed his relatively minor SU-diehards that's fine, he puts in the work and he gets to steer the ship. I'd just rather he tell me that ship's going back to the Equestrian Sea now so I can disembark while we still had some SU in an episode again.

It’s not and I’m tired of everyone making it seem like one. People are so accustomed to the biweekly videos that if Tamers got a full time job and switched to bimonthly, they would throw a bitch fit. SU is/was fantastic and he is still making them. Ponies are also something he enjoys just as much as SU AND he is making bank (and probably working part time or some shit). Why would anyone give up doing something they love to appease people. Yes, we are his fans but fans should also understand when a creator gets exhausted and can’t think of anything for the moment.
Literally, it’s like people forgot the last several SU threads (when videos came out) how bad everyone was dogging on them. “That was a boring episode but the jokes were funny.” “Not his best.” “I would have done so and so instead of so and so-“ Is that not supposed affect a creator’s decisions? Is he not supposed to listen to his fans?

It's not though. Tamers has a massive positive reaction on Twitter. The man is hit with a deluge of GR15 fanart. He received so much stuff to his PO box that he had to close it. This place is critical of him because they liked Sonic, but /mlp/ is minimally critical and loves his stuff.

This just reminds me of the very typical scenario where a musician produces something special and gains a small yet loyal fanbase, signs a record deal and begins producing slop. Their audience is big now, they rub elbows with celebrities, they become wealthy, they reach the height of artistic popularity. But the new stuff lacks the sovl the old stuff does; best case scenario, it's good but not as good. The old audience notices. They are told to fuck off and be happy for the artist because they were catapulted to heights few ever see. Great. You can be happy someone succeeded but sad the thing you loved them for is gone.

Tamers can make his cartoons about whatever he wants, the problems with the pony show aren't the ponies. Fluttershy's hotpot episode was great. My main problem is when he goes too hard on anime fight scenes, annoying drama, or the overarching plots that bloat the run time with characters no one cares about. His fusion OC is awful ( although there are much worse). What makes Tamers shine is his amazing comedic mind, mixed into the small stakes/scales of his settings. Having the Sonic Underground be ungrateful shits over their vacation to a hotel in their own hometown was great. On the flipside, I couldn't care less about the masked murderpony, the emotional core of Soarin/Braeburn, or whatever deep lore he makes when it takes up entire episodes. I want more moments like the fight between Syd's dad and brother, the Pisswalk concert, or Fluttershy thinking she's chinese.
