Brain's kinda toast due to just waking up so I can't remember specific examples, so have some tropes that piss me off:
1.
>secret objects designed -specifically- to kill [villain X] is collected and used to kill X
>X survives and/or is immune to the objects because [random plot reason never mentioned before]
>X's survival happens right at the end of the season as a hook for the next season, or happens in the second to last episode of the season
>if it's the second to last episode, the last episode is an "all is lost, woe is me" double-length episode that ends with deus ex machina that finally defeats the villain

>recurring villain isn't particularly popular or liked
>people actively dislike the villain being on screen at all
>the showrunners mistake this dislike as "our villain is evil, of course people don't like it! That's a good thing!" and keep the villain around
>other, better villains die or get written out, but the shit villain always survives somehow after every season finale

I know some people LIKE this one, but:

I think most stories can get away with breaking the rules as long as its during the climax as the climax raising the emotional stakes allows for more emotional storytelling to break through rules and have the audience be fine with it.
But if you do it before or after the actual climax its a fucking mess. Also if you do break the rules during your climax it also signals the end to whatever narrative you have built up because the presence of said rule breaking act will hang over any future content in that setting.

Worse of all is that the women who made this horrible trope popular, was basically like a frumpy bitter butterfaced lesbian who just lashed out his views on men on her early works, and to everyone's horror, the japanese audiences got used to it because that's just how they are.

It only ended up bareble in UY because EVERYONE was a piece of shit, the women just as bad, but the problem is that, the women, NEVER, got properly deflated or got cartoon slapstick the same way as the men, because Ms Rumiko hated how boys liked the bikini ogre girl just because she wore a bikini, also she got mad at her editors because she was asked why she was drawing so many attractive women in swimsuits and the like and she being came off as narrow minded thinking it was ''men's world''

The truth is that this woman was an autist, in the worst sense, but somehow she was able to actually suceed, not just fail upwards.
