>It works like a community toy chest. In the /coc/ threads you are free to post whatever ideas/settings/characters you want, but you have to be OK with other people playing with them (tweaking them, putting them in stories, using them for things, etc.)
>There's no guarantee that what you post will catch on either.
>If the OC you are posting is YOURS for something you are personally doing, then it would go to the "How is your webcomic?" threads.

Neat doodle.

THE TIME HAS ARRIVED!

PLEASE BE EXCITED!
>>149111374That's awesome! Can't wait this Saturday.
>>149111374Congratulations! I can't write a big text of support, sorry, i'm bad at that kind of stuff.
>>149111374So 8 stories with 9 pages each?!
>>149111374HOLY SHIT! how'd they get joel jurion??? Now this is interesting
>>149111905Uhh, no.
>9 pages long >containing 8 action-packed Golden Girl storiesThey're comic strips, anon. Each story is a page long, and many of those are from the ol script pile. More were planned, but wagie bucks only go so far, and the whims and wishes of artists often contradict things like deadlines and schedules.
Still, I'm very happy with how things have come along. Everyone on the art team did a fantastic job and I can't wait for everyone to see what they've cooked up.
>>149112143Thought as much. That's still something worth waiting.

>>149110612>>149110372I decided to work some more on this, good exercise for cloth folds I guessed.
>>149113627Like, the character? She's a hillbilly girl with mud powers experiencing supernatural events with a city girl that's stuck with her, Dynamo Anon wrote some ideas for the serring last thread if you want to know more.
Is this thread only for OCs?
>>149087059> don't know why I gave her red hair, it just sort of happened, nobody brought it up though so I guess that's fine tooi was going to comment on it but i respected your artistic view kek
>>149087078>You need to do a deep dive into Appalachian folklore for inspiration. It's full of silly names.i actually did after that, and i was impressed by how much folklore the people of the Appalachian Mountains have.
and now I'm more excited and motivated to write more and learn more, hopefully i can make a nice entertaining story with Billie and the other characters.
>>149113627>Good one. What's about her?Her name is Billie and she is a Hillbilly girl with mud manipulation powers
>>149114214Mainly, yes. We do also host the occasional AU.
>>149114457What about a redesign of an already existing character?
>>149114620Make a Character Redesign thread, i've seen plenty of them here
>>149114620How extensive are the redesigns? A lot of our characters here did come from that sort of thing.
>>149114834Eh, with me being the OP, i don't think that's a good idea
>>149114862It's this, of Louise from Bob's Burgers
>>149114906Most people don't care what the OP is and yours looks fine, they just want an excuse to post their own redesign art
>>149111374I was just as confused as
>>149111905But I'm down with multiple comic strips. Can you give the list of all artist or is it a secret till the 28th?
>>149114906Is this future louise or just slutty louise??? But yeah not a big deal you wouldn't be the first to just redesign a character I had multiple threads for it before we died off.
Also looks good overall any concept or just wanted to draw her?
>>149115075It's a "normal" Louise, with my style instead of the show's style, cause when doing NSFW stuff of her i don't feel like drawing her in the show's
>>149114255>i was going to comment on it but i respected your artistic view kekI just wasn't paying enough attention lol, colors to me might as well be black magic, I don't get them at all. I do wanna learn to harness their power one day though.

>>149109898 (OP)What's the story and lore for Hill Billie?
>>149112746This is a question that needs to be answered especially in the event this is being charged for.

>>149112746>You using a AI at make rough look drawings?Nah, the artist is Mr. Bingle and it was just an honest mistake on their part. It happens to the best of us, humans are just as prone to making the occasional anatomy mistake. I'm trying to talk to them now to see if he can do a last minute fix for me, but we'll see how it goes.
Good catch either way. I legit didn't see it until you pointed it out, my eyes were focused elsewhere.
>>149115047I wouldn't call it secret, I listed all but one of them in the tweet.

If it takes longer than a week, I'll consider this whole thing a failure. Means nobody is even interested in bothering to put it on there.
And if I recoup even QUARTER of the cash I spent on all this I'll be deeply surprised and humbled.

>>149121701How about
>>149120991 ? I'd like to see Hill Billie's lore and characters fleshed out more.
>>149121722So would that entail designing a character that might fit alongside Hill Billie?
>>149121743Yeah. I'd like to see what your idea for Diving Belle is but if you have other ideas for Hill Billie go for them. I see Diving Belle as a glamorous girl in a swimsuit and aquakinetic powers from New Orleans. Maybe she's a descendent of Marie Laveau?
>>149121750I'm an outsider to a lot of the /coc/ lore so this stuff is all pretty new to me. Whatever I'll come up with will wait until tomorrow though, I always request requests before I go to sleep.

>>149122059I think Diving Belle should be like a supernatural mercenary. She takes a more pragmatic and brutal approach to solving supernatural problems than Billie and also doesn't mind stealing magic artifacts if she believes she can use them better than her owners. She looks down on Billie as a lowly hick fit only to bow down to her.

>>149123729>Is the bounty hunter a demon or an alien? An alien! Same species as the Blang twins.
While sketching her I thought of her being a sort of minor antagonist for them to deal with; a bounty hunter sent to kill one of them (most likely Tennoc).
The demon/succubus-esque elements were on purpose, since she's meant to have a bit of an alluring, yet dangerous aura, femme fatale style.
>>149122431>>149124720Oh, I just realized the masked girl by her side is just herself in assassin gear, I thought it was a partner in crime, I keep making mistakes like this.
>>149122431What do you guys think of my new clown gals? I have very little ideas for them just know they are connected to cringefail streamer girl oc I did a while back
>>149125426I think they should visit a dentist! Their dentition is crazy. Or perhaps... clownish.
Just rembered this old character, and how they carry a Franc coin with them, a coin which went out of circulation in 2002. Meaning if she fell through dimensions when she was 16 she'd be nearly 40 now.
Don't know why, but that sorta makes me sad.
>>149124720I don't think his sister is the type to hire a succubus to kill him.
>>149125426Do jesters and clowns feud with each other?
>>149125697Kid Cookie was made over 10 years ago. If we go by how old he was when he was made he'd be like 17 by now.
Time's a bitch.
>>149125697Her parents never stopped looking for her, probably going on an early grave. Her friends move on and she becomes a "oh, yeah, I forgot about her" if she ever comes up, which is rarer every year...
>>149125898>I don't think his sister is the type to hire a succubus to kill him.Well, I figured the bounty would come from an outward source that wants to destabilize the Empire for their own purposes. I wouldn't be surprised if the twins are just considered high value targets in general and whichever agency she's a part of wanted to get in on that.
>>149125898>Do jesters and clowns feud with each other?Maybe they clash with each other's view of the trickster archetype
>>149125542They all can't have the doofus round teeth some clowns have kek. Some bare their fangs
>>149125898Think it's more of a title but who knows honestly so little ideas just making clown girls. Like the brown one I was thinking of naming her "Lola the Vile"
But These two would probably be more chill with each other on the "evil" or non friendly clown spectrum
>>149126421Hehe could be fun, again don't know much about them were made and kind of just accepted them.
>>149122431Thanks for posting! It's a pretty good result if I say so myself.
She is not just a hillbilly she is a silly Billy called Nellie.
>>149122740i will think about it, but a girl with Water-bending powers will absolutely be part of that world.
>>149123000Kinda? Like i created her as a joke in February and got some art of her but wasn't able to expand on her more, so i did.
>>149123148yes my inspiration was X-files and Gravity Falls and little from Over the Garden Wall
also if it was a TV show,i imagine it having the dragon hunters intro as the show intro:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=w3UViP85alw&ab_channel=84Shiryu
>>149123234i would say yes but she does cheat with her powers kek
She is not just a hillbilly she is a silly Billy called Nellie.
>>149114906You could've just posted this in the drawthread or a WOYA thread.
Hill Billie should have an Evilverse counterpart called Bill Hillie.
>>149127074Would he be a reclusive redneck stalking the haunted woods?
>>149122059Stand stats make no sense man, I think you put more thought into this hypothetical reply than Araki did with any stand starting from part 5.
>>149125898They probably fight until a mime walks by and then they both go after him
>>149127074Does the Evilverse change the villains into heroes?
AU where good and evil people are swapped is my favourite concept
>>149126113No doubt they are.
Do you think one twin would take offense to the other being targeted? Either in a "no one gets to kill you but me" kind of way or a "what? I'm not important enough for someone to send assassins after but you are?" kind of way.
>>149126421Typically that's mimes and clowns. Turf wars between them are known to get... silly.
>>149126674So they're evil clowns and not just grunge clowns.
>>149127020Again I feel the need to point out that Diving Belle is a character we already have.
https://the-conservatory.fandom.com/wiki/Diving_Belle
You don't need to reinvent the wheel if you want to use her.
>>149127778To be fair Stand stats started in Part 5 and were not retroactively added to previous parts until the release of the JoJo A-Go!Go! artbook.
>>149127792Looks like you beat me to that observation by 4 minutes.
>>149127834A lot of them yeah. Some of them stay on the same side but are more gritty and worn down by the postapocalyptic circumstances.
>>149127837Nah I'm just making it up as I go, but in my head at least the red and white one is "evil" and evil is more circumstantial. Again made the main girl and barely had her fleshed out.
But had idea since main cringefail wholesome clown girl just wants to make others laugh and smile, but is failing at getting popular or moving up. Could see red and white jester as her pure opposite. Super famous, and everyone loves her but she's a schizo or diva
>>149128037Could you make a Pierrot girl too? She'd be like a mime but depressed.
>>149127837>Again I feel the need to point out that Diving Belle is a character we already have.>https://the-conservatory.fandom.com/wiki/Diving_Belle>You don't need to reinvent the wheel if you want to use her.I'm aware of her existence, i lurked on the wiki a lot in the past months kek
and i wasn't going to use Diving Belle directly and i prefer making a similar character but not too similar but hey that's just me
i meant the concept of the bending girl, i'm thinking about minimizing her powers and making her only able to control freshwater (from lakes and rivers) but we will see what we can do
>>149127845That explains how all over the place they are. I suppose they never should have mattered that much anyways, stands are better the more they're supernatural, and trying to quantify each one lessens that appeal.
>>149127837>Do you think one twin would take offense to the other being targeted? Either in a "no one gets to kill you but me" kind of way or a "what? I'm not important enough for someone to send assassins after but you are?" kind of way.Oh, definitely both of those. Every little thing has to turn into a competition after all.
Though I think the two are still somewhat protective of each other, so as soon as any real harm is being done they would probably help each other out - and complain the entire time while doing it. With the bounty huntress in particular I can imagine Quaslan seeing through her right away while Tennoc is too kind for his own good and welcomes her with open arms while she's still using her sweet and innocent guise. Of course once that illusion breaks he has to get bailed out with a lot of "I told you so!"s.
>>149127020Wonder if we'll get to see her eyes under the hair. I always like that sorta characteristic.
>>149129817https://the-conservatory.fandom.com/wiki/The_Developing_Adventures_of_Golden_Girl#The_Sorority_of_Sentinels
>The compact design fits under her fashionable dress, while her gloves can discharge powerful lighting bolts and generate powerful magnetic fields, which allow her limited flight in a metal-rich environments such as Platinum City.
>>149130105I usually prefer when they remain always hidden, like Shermie from KoF, or I guess a more board apropriate example would be Lee Kanker. That's just my preference though.
>>149127020Looks like a rascal.
>>149127020>>149131380So is Nellie different from Hill Billie?
>>149123715>>149123729She's neat, but the "Diving Belle" I was thinking of would be somewhat villainous. The elements that make up her character would be New Orleans voodoo+sophistication+water bending+sexy swimsuit.
>>149128527>PierrotThink the the red and white falls more into that or half and half which is kind of her vibe
Though could go full depressed, but honestly before I make a lot of new characters need to fully know what my idea is lol
>>149127855The power of mimes
>>149131380>>149131380Damn Hill-Billie getting tons of love did something massive happen while I wasn't here

>>149131937I could see someone like that working. She would have to have a different name than Diving Belle though.
>>149131910>Damn Hill-Billie getting tons of love did something massive happen while I wasn't hereWell, Dynamo Anon did some writting for her last thread and I thought the premise was really charming so I drew her, I'm still a newcomer so I want to contribute in some way.
>>149131927Just Marley in whichever way? Do you want her doing something specific or striking a certain pose or something?
>>149132308Oh well respect, bro and welcome. Lowkey wish I had more to contribute myself but honestly my clown idea was super rough to begin with.
But like to mix it up myself and great stuff is the OP yours too?

>is the OP yours too?Yeah, I did some more stuff on the last thread, but I don't want to repost and spam.
>>149132751Ha, then you'd be better than most. We all just mostly do our own thing. Most of us autistically rambling stuff, like my old dumbstruck concept or my more recent magic girls.
Don't worry no one cares,........well no one cares if someone cares. These threads rarely reach 500 and usually die at night or randomly so go for it. If you had some art post it I repost my same sketches or comms all the time as I like to have my greens and concepts have art so people can better get idea of who the characters are
>>149131380Who's the pig?
>>149132956Just a pet probably.
Hey Crackdown anon, I'm trying to get some basic notes on your thugs. Do I have this straight?
Thug notes:
Frank - Huge. Covered in scars. Strongest of the thugs. Boss's number 1. Arrogant.
Paulie - New in the city. Fresh thug on the team.
Stanley - Married. Has a kid. Won't leave the criminal life.
Derek - Womanizer. Hates supers, considers them freaks.
Mark - Older. Has been a henchman for a long time under many different villains. Mental image is of Rubik from Baccano.
I want to make sure I have a feel for them before I start trying to write a scene with any of them in it.
>>149131871But she is the Diving Belle I was referring to at the start of this conversation.
Anyway, goodnight and good luck to the thread surviving.
>>149133920>Frank >arrogantI wouldn't say that, personally. His attitude can be described as "chill", but people are rarely at ease with him around since he's far from a gentle giant. In fact, being so much stronger than most people naturally has kind of desensitized him to suffering of "weaker" ones, which is why I imagine that Diego would hate his guts.
But other than that, seems accurate.
You can come up with your own goons, by the way.
The ones from Issue 0 weren't "Frank's squad" or anything, they were just randoms picked to make a distraction more believable that also happened to know one another.
Good morning and an ohayo gozaimasu too for good measure.

>>149138174I'll have to think of something then, this can be a good oportunity to improve.
I'm in the middle of writing the first real greentext/chapter for Hill-Billie, I'm still sure about what supernatural case I should start with:
>Wampus cat?
>Moon-eyed people?
>Not deer?
>bigfoot?
and yes, those are real Appalachian folklore creatures
also I'm open to ideas and suggestions since i want Hill-Billie to be as close to a /coc/ project as possible, unlike DL.
So, if you have any suggestions or ideas, please don't hesitate to share.
>>149140493If you want appalachian apparitions, can't go wrong with the Fatwoods Monster and old Mothman, but everybody knows them. A more unknown encounter (I believe) are the Hopkinsville Goblins, I think they could be a good addition to the setting as some passive creatures that can help Hill Billie, they're just so goofy looking I love them.
>>149139055>>149125426Hey anon, yeah trying to play around with somethings idea still super loose.

Sheโs barely scraping rent, failing her ClownCorp certifications, and bombing every stream. >But she won't quit.>She's got that spark in her and will make the whole world laugh at herAlright finally did a Bea concept, kind of went with vibe of clown shit. Idea came from the mime v jesters. So what if the world was like ours but one difference is it runs on "tune" force hehe get it.. So think characters like my evil Jester gal have the most as she has a massive audience and is multi talented so can rake in the faith and eyes of others. ok here's the first part of the Hill-Billie greentext, and you know the drill
>The Hillbilly and the City Girl
>The next few days were a blur of restless boredom, punctuated by the lingering memory of that unsettling first encounter.
>Then the dreams started.
>Grace stood in a blinding white room.
>Her parents, their faces stern and unyielding, loomed over her.
>"Grace," her mother began, her voice echoing unnaturally, "we've decided. You're moving with Aunt Ellie. To Cowpie County. Permanently."
>"No! No, you can't!" Grace screamed, her voice cracking with terror.
>"Please, no! Take me back to the city! My friends! My life!" She shook her head violently, tears blurring her vision.
>Then, from the corner of the blinding room, a familiar, gap-toothed grin emerged from the shadows.
>Billie. Mud caked her bare feet and hands, just as Grace had last seen her.
>"Yup, that's right, city slicker," Billie drawled, stepping closer, her smile widening.
>"This here's your new life. You're stuck with me now. You're one of us."
>"NO!" Grace shrieked, recoiling.
>Billie chuckled, a low, guttural sound, and thrust something into Grace's hands. A small, cloudy mirror.
>Grace stared at her reflection, and her blood ran cold.
>Staring back was not the Grace she knew.
>Her hair was wild and unkempt, a crooked, gap-toothed smile stretched across her face, and her pristine city clothes were replaced by muddy overalls.
> She was a hillbilly. A wave of pure horror washed over her.
> "No! No, no, no!" she screamed, the mirror falling from her trembling hands as she stumbled backward.
>Grace shot upright in bed, drenched in sweat, her heart hammering against her ribs.
>The nightmare clung to her like a shroud. She scrambled out of bed, tripping over her tangled sheets, and rushed to the small, chipped mirror in the bathroom.
>Her fingers flew to her teeth, then frantically patted her hair and felt her face.
>A sigh of immense relief escaped her lips.
>>149155681>Her teeth were straight, her hair (though still a little messy from sleep) was its usual, slightly frizzy self, and her skin was clear. >The city girl Grace was still there.>Just then, a warm, lilting voice drifted up from downstairs. >"Grace, honey-child! Breakfas' is on the table, if you're ever gonna come on down!" It was Aunt Ellie.>Still slightly shaken, Grace made her way downstairs. >The cabin, which looked so dilapidated and forgotten from the outside, was surprisingly cozy and vibrant within. >Cheerful floral patterns adorned the curtains, hand-carved wooden figures sat on shelves, and stacks of old, rolled-up mapsโtopographical maps, nautical charts, even what looked like antique star chartsโwere crammed into every nook and cranny. >Aunt Ellie, Grace had learned, had a peculiar obsession with collecting them, a fascination Grace wisely chose not to inquire about.>She found Aunt Ellie, a woman with kind eyes and hair the color of spun moonlight, perched at the worn kitchen table, engrossed in an ancient, leather-bound book. >A plate piled high with fluffy biscuits and what smelled suspiciously like bacon awaited her.>"Mornin', Aunt Ellie," Grace managed, sliding into a chair. "Thanks for breakfast.">"You're mighty welcome, darlin'," Aunt Ellie replied, her voice a comforting Southern cadence, not looking up from her book. >"Sleep well? Make any new friends yet?">Grace hesitated, thinking of Billie's unsettling smile and mud-caked appearance. >"Uh, no. Not really," she mumbled, picking at a biscuit.>Aunt Ellie finally looked up, her expression softening. >"Aw, well, don't you fret none, sweetie pie. It takes time to get settled in a new place. You'll feel right at home 'fore you know it.">The words sent a fresh shiver down Grace's spine.>'Right at home'? The idea of being "at home" in this forsaken place, surrounded by weird, muddy people like Billie, filled her with a new dread.
>>149155697>She opened her mouth to protest, to beg for a return ticket to civilization.>But before she could utter a word, Aunt Ellie reached under the table and pulled out a large, intricately cut wooden box. >"Well, if you ain't found no playmates yet, we can have our own fun," she said, her voice bright and motherly. >"How 'bout we tackle this here jigsaw puzzle after you finish up? It's a real doozy.">Grace just nodded, forcing down the rest of her breakfast.>Aunt Ellie's expression, however, shifted subtly. >Her eyes, which had been so warm, now held a glint of something unreadable, her tone dropping to a low, ominous murmur. >"You just be careful out there, Grace. Cowpie Countyโฆ it ain't quite what it looks like." She watched Grace, a faint, knowing chuckle escaping her lips.>"But don't you worry your pretty little head 'bout it. Just try talkin' to that girl who lives yonder, on the other side of the creek. That Billie girl. I got a feelin' y'all are gonna be real good friends.">Grace swallowed, her fork clattering against the plate. >She didn't dare tell Aunt Ellie that she had met Billie, and that she'd essentially bolted in pure terror, convinced the mud-covered girl was about to, well, do something. Kill her? Turn her into a mud-person? Her mind reeled with ridiculous scenarios. >Best to keep that little detail to herself.>Breakfast over, Grace mumbled an excuse about needing some fresh air and retreated to the dubious sanctuary of her room. >She stared out the window, watching a particularly plump cardinal peck at something in the overgrown bushes. >Small, furry creatures darted through the undergrowth, their movements too quick to fully discern.
>>149155711>"Cowpie County... it ain't quite what it looks like," she muttered, mimicking Aunt Ellie's chilling tone. What did that even mean? Was it just country-folk superstition? Or was there something genuinely unsettling lurking beneath the surface of this ridiculously named place? The thought made a cold knot form in her stomach.>Just then, a flicker of movement caught her eye again. >There it was. The same brown-haired figure, darting through the trees at the edge of the forest. >This time, it wasn't just running; it was stretching, its limbs extending in ways that lookedโฆ impossible for a human. And it was holding something, a long, thin object, glinting faintly in the morning sun.>"A goblin?" Her mind whispered the word, even as logic screamed animal.>"But what animal? One that could stretch like rubber and wield a... what was that? A stick? A tool?" The debate raged in her head: ignore it, or investigate? The sensible Grace argued for safety. The bored, trapped Grace argued for anything that wasn't boredom.>"Grace, darlin'! Come on down, I found that old map of the Cowpie Caves I wanted to show you!" Aunt Ellie's voice chirped from downstairs, pulling Grace from her internal struggle.>Cowpie Caves. Maps. Lectures. The choice became clear. Chasing a mysterious, potentially mythical creature, even if it turned out to be just a strangely proportioned squirrel, had to be more interesting than a topographical sermon.>With a newfound resolve, Grace rummaged through her backpack, her fingers closing around the reassuring weight of her trusty Swiss Army knife. Its tiny, gleaming blade, compass, and various tools felt like a meager but vital shield against the unknown.>Armed with her miniature arsenal, she slipped out of the cabin, making her way towards the sounds she now faintly discerned โ a series of high-pitched screeches, not entirely unlike the ones from her first encounter.
>>149155719>She pushed deeper into the woods, the trees growing denser, the air heavier. The ground was uneven, roots tripping her, low-hanging branches snagging her hair.>She walked for what felt like an eternity, following the fading sounds, her legs burning. Her sneakers, already sullied from the farm mud, were now covered in forest grime. >The screeches seemed to fade, replaced by the relentless buzzing of insects and the rustling of unseen things. After what felt like ages, panting and utterly exhausted, Grace stopped. >"This is ridiculous," she huffed, wiping sweat from her brow. "I'm done. I'm just going back.">She turned, looking for the path she'd taken, but the trees all looked identical. Panic began to claw at her throat. >She pulled out her phone, desperate. No signal. Zero bars. No internet. GPS was useless. Grace Danson, city girl extraordinaire, was utterly, completely, and terrifyingly lost in the Cowpie County woods.TO BE CONTINUED!
>>149155730I like it! The reflection gag is a classic, though I'm only now learning that Grace and Billie are not related, I need to pay more attention.
>>149154803I'm stuck dealing with real life BS.

>>149156585What's the JH vs CD thing? and sorry to hear having a rough go of it anon. Hope it gets better but would love to discuss a idea
>>149159475The JackHammer vs Crackdown crossover idea.
I'm still in the process of trying to form an outline of the story before I can start turning that into a script. One of the issues I'm running into it being able to share the current notes since pastebin is throwing a fit over it containing flagged words and not telling me which ones their speech police thinks are bad.
I'm trying to think of how the story should start. Like from who's perspective.
Do I need to start it on the bus with Jack and the football team? Should it start more from Arthur's (Crackdown) perspective? Or should it just start with Brad approaching the thugs for the position of goon-for-hire?
The first scene really sets the pace for the story.
>>149159832Well Jackhammer is the cooler name so maybe start there. But really do like crossover ideas so really comes down to who is more plot relevant at start and set up. If you want more shocking then have it be one of them chilling then getting brought into the plot via shenanigan's of the latter
>>149161043My ambition is to write a true crossover, something that could work as both an issue of JH and CD by having ramifications for both characters moving forwards in their respective stories. It would be able to be read as JH #6 or CD #TBD.
Whether or not that's feasible depends on if the Crackdown anon is also down for that.
The set up is Jack's football team is visiting Arthur's city. Brad, a member of the visiting team, is moonlighting as a hired goon and gets the attention of Crackdown who then pursues him until Jack takes notice and puts on his costume to save what he thinks is a civilian from a super-powered crazy person. You know, classic misunderstanding when two heroes first meet so they must fight.
>>149161043It might be a good idea to actually learn about characters before giving advice.
>>149161607I imagine anon is attempting to contribute to a project he doesn't normally follow in the interest of trying to build some forward momentum in this thread.
>>149161607I feel I'll learn about them via a crossover, kind of one of the reason comics and shows do crossover to bring eyes to both series.
>>149161343Was just gonna say is the classic hero crossover start, But do seem like a fun bout. Also with perfect sync of powers in a way or could be mortal enemies. Jack does more blunt damage that piercing or slashing so can't really negate or mess with that. But could also be good team combos, a sledge hammer makes tons of cracks for manipulating
Also pretty good opposing personality it feels so I mean in the end of the days the best classic crossover vibe. Though do wonder if they'd have kind of a friend vibe once they get pass the typical misunderstanding or more of a younger hero older depressed senior hero vibe. Though both are grown so idk again up to you anon
>>149161915This has been on the agenda for years if I'm reading these dates right. All because they both hit the threads around the same time. I'm only now getting to it since I'm forcing progress on the JH scripts that got stalled by actually writing them.
These are my notes from last week, some of this stuff is out of date now and there is new stuff in my current version, but I don't want to keep re-uploading it.
https://files.catbox.moe/si6kzf.txt
It will give you an idea of how the fight will go and also how one feels about the other. Jack doesn't have any malice towards Arthur, but Arthur does towards Jack. They'd both be around the same age, maybe Arthur is older by a year or two if he's still getting into a relationship with a version of Lila since I think it'd be funnier if Marley is older than Jack.
I should probably just make a scripts page on the wiki for JackHammer at this point since we're five written scripts in already with the first having a comic drawn.
>>149162029>a version of Lila?
>>149162383I cannot confirm or know if events in Crackdown have any impact on events in The Lovely Ladybug.
So yes, a version of Lila, that one who appears in that story.
Anyway, goodnight.
I like to say there's as many versions of characters as there are people reading about them.
Good night, /coc/.
>>149155730I like this, and I want more!
I want more of Hill-Billie; draw more art and write more greentexts. She is my favorite new character.
Good morning everyone, I don't know why but I got a good feeling about today, could just be blind optimism.
>>149138174>>149139315Here's a concept, not really sure about the pose, though, sorry it took this long just to post something like this.
>>149163442okay?

anything you want to see in particular?
>>149162029Huh man a crossover in mind since the start what are they batman v superman. But really crazy to have had this planned out so long. Also feel their are a lot of characters that are thread siblings etc since most were made or pitched in similar or co signing threads.
I think hill-billie and my magic girls came out at the same time, or was that the time weasel??? hmmmmmmmmm
Also now see I didn't realize marley was apart of crackdown or rather crackdown was part of ladybug. Think I saw mention of a script on wiki but can't remember
thanks for notes will try and read up
>>149155681So you went with the route of grace being her friend insead of rival it seems or will she be more of a frienemy?
Also do feel bad for her being forced in such a enviroment if that was me I'd die of exposure. An I'm actually from the south and grew up on farms with cousins just like the Billie clan.
But going from having my creature comforts to nothing would break me
>>149165541The issue is that most of Crackdown's lore is in doodle form so a lot of this information would only be found reading the threads or looking through the drawpile images, neither of which are easily accessible or navigable unless you already know what to look for.
Lila and Marley are Lovely Ladybug characters, but due to the nature of the threads Arthur became associated with them. One isn't really a part of the other until someone pulling the strings on either commits to it.
I think this crossover idea was first suggested in April of 2023 which was the month Crackdown was introduced to the threads.

>>149165624>the issue is that most of Crackdown's lore is in doodle form so a lot of this information would only be found reading the threads or looking through the drawpile images, neither of which are easily accessible or navigable unless you already know what to look forShould I make a "Crackdown bible" or something to remedy this?
I could realistically add to the wiki page some more, but someone already complained about it being too long during the drawpile.
>>149165797>"Crackdown bible"I think that could be great, if it isn't too much trouble. The wiki page is useful, but a dedicated document that goes in-depth into everything in and out of universe for Arthur would be fantastic.

His interactions with other characters is what I was mainly referring to with my post.
>>149167680>>149165975Noted.
That being said, I've been experiencing some techincal issues that have been impeding my 4chan posting and they'll probably only get worse.
I don't want to alarm people, but there might be a future where I suddenly might stop posting altogether. I might do either/or, but between drawing and writing stuff I don't know if it'll see the light in time.
>>149167264Late afternoon for me right now, probably already evening for you?
>>149157626>You could even commit to the Gravity Falls aesthetic and make her a great aunt.that's not a bad idea at all
>>149165541>So you went with the route of Grace being her friend instead of rival it seems or will she be more of a frienemy?Their relationship is complicated yet simple, Grace sees Billie as well a Country bumpkin who needs to be shown how good living in a civilized world is but she is intrigued by her strong spirit and powers, while Billie sees Grace as a foolish city girl who too soft for the "real" world, and they will bond on their shared goal of trying to understand and solves the many mysteries of Cowpie County.
>Also do feel bad for her being forced in such an environment if that was me I'd die of exposure.Grace thought that it wouldn't be so bad to be away from the internet, but she was wrong.

>>149170067>>149170240The slim waist made me think it was a female Goliath, like, besides Marley.
>>149171974Magi's idea is that Goliath should be androgynous to mirror Ladybug. He's more obviously male because of his impressive height, though.
>>149172711I get those when I eat too much.
>>149172074I can see the vision, it's a cool angle to take. The toy chest aspect of /coc/ is kinda beautiful, if I'm allowed to sound lame, the way everybody plays with the characters like that.
>>149170890She's impossible to ignore, although she might lose attention after her 10th anniversary for a little while.
>>149173914Maybe when I get tired of writing JH I'll take a break and revisit the 90s GGu era.
I had ideas for that, even if there's no one left interested in them.
>>149174051Sounds great but the OG artist disappeared a while ago. If any could fill out the illustration it was him.
I've been trying to figure out why Crackdown would go after Brad after busting up the heist and I think I have something.
When the heist goes south and Brad realizes CD isn't someone he can beat before the cops arrive, he grabs part of whatever the shipment was before scattering.
Whatever Frank's crew was trying to lift would need to be something really dangerous, like a chemical, poison, or disease of some sort. Something with the potential for mass casualties so CD can't overlook Brad pinching so much as a vile of it.
Might give me an opportunity for a better resolution to the fight than the cops arriving if Jack becomes aware of what Brad has and then has to work with CD to keep it from breaking and infecting/poisoning the crowd.
>>149174208I know. I was the one who wrote the script he was working off of so it stings to see him disappear like a lot of others over the years.
>>149174576Sadly one of the things that is most attractive about /coc/ for artists, the lack of commitment, is also the most likely to sabotage it. When you can freely commit to anything and then dip out of it at will, it's very tempting to take that option when adversity strikes, and at that point it may become to embarrassing to try returning at a later date. Or to deal with the famous 4chan backlash.
>>149174834I wouldn't hold it against any of them if real life fucked them over, nor give them grief if they showed up out of the blue to continue. I'd consider that a massive windfall for the threads if any of the artist who were working on comics who vanished suddenly returned.
>>149174937I agree. I think most would. But from the perspective of an artist who dipped with unfulfilled promises it's probably pretty intimidating.
>>149174950One of the other nice things about here is you can also be completely shameless if you so choose.
But that's neither here nor there with this hypothetical.
What do you think should be in the vile?
>>149174993Surely something truly vial. Maybe a Bloom cell culture.
>>149144856When I was twelve the first girl I fell in love with was the same age as me and thick as fuck. She was Quรฉbecois too!
>>149175398Ooo, that's a nice reference. I can work with that. Just gotta think of why Frank and his crew are trying to steal that and what Dan would be looking to do with one of those.
>>149154132There are certain types of clay that are edible so if she eats a little with each meal this should work perfectly.
>>149174576>>149175517Dan's posse doesn't usually deal with straight-up biological weaponry, but they can theoretically act as the middle man in an acquisition by someone who does.
This might also potentially set up some other storyline depending on who's bying.
I've waited like 20 minutes for captcha to load to post this.
>>149175589>>149175517Since the Bloom specifically fuses with human tissue, maybe Dan would be interested in it as a way to alter his new body, or augment his men.
>>149175621Well, considering what happened to him personally, he might have some reservations regarding doing that kind of thing.
>>149175589That new system is a bitch, yeah.
So they're just doing this as a score for someone else. Does Dan take on jobs like that? "Product acquisition" and such or are they more the distribution sort?
>>149175621Dan's not technically human anymore so it might not be able to fuse with him.
The hive mind might be another angle for wanting it. Being able to force link a bunch of brains must have many uses... Maybe I2Eye is the client?
Anyway, things for me to think about later since I need to go to bed now. Goodnight everyone.
>>149175867>does Dan take on jobs like that? "Product acquisition" and such or are they more the distribution sort?Dan works at the behest of a much larger criminal entity, even calling it "organization" isn't entirely correct due to its scope and decentralized nature. He's been vying for control with them for a while now, but they're ultimately the ones calling the shots.
>>149171429You know what i didn't realize that i drew her overall wrong until you pointed it out, so thanks, anon
Also, here's the colored version, and I added a stock image background cause i tried drawing a scary woods background and couldn't, but i will try next time
>>149178063I've been meaning to draw a rooster and call him the morning /coc/k, and post him after I wake up and boot my PC in the morning, but I always forget.
>>149176728What's that she's holding, a disc? A rock?
>>149177308That's Haram!
>>149179127The scene in this picture is that Grace told her they need to find a specific stone artifact. After a few hours of lifting and examining stones, mostly Billie doing the lifting, Billie asks what exactly they are looking for in the stones. Grace was about to smugly explain when she realizes she doesn't actually know what they are searching for.
>>149176728>You know what i didn't realize that i drew her overall wrong until you pointed it outNta, but I've got the feeling you should keep drawing them the way you did.
How would other artists' drawings change with the "right" overalls?
>>149111374Tomorrow's the big day!
>>149179565So something like this?
>>149180528They're more suspenders than overalls now, but it's not bad.
>>149165484Thank you, progress is a process, maybe I'm putting too much time on this one drawing but I think if I can finish it, it'll look really nice. Here's how it is right now.
>>149182448Very cute, I bet she's looking for bugs!
>>149182737Oh, is that a character trait I'm not aware of? I suppose I should've recognized it sooner, she is the Lovely LADYBUG, and saved a caterpilar in the comics.
>>149183291It hasn't come up a lot, but Marley believes in being kind to the small creatures and likes to learn from them. There's a scene I've wanted to find a place for where she's observing a bug in a wind tunnel to study aerodynamics.
>>149181663yeah i guess
>>149182448Pretty cool art Anon
i really like your art.

>>149188961Congrats! and Happy Anniversary Golden Girl!
Here is a special Comic i had commissioned
>>149189298I guess that's the one I meant? I mean it's almost 2021 now..
>>149189368Golden Girl has helped me through a lot over the years.
>>1491893782021 was 4 years ago.
Between the drawpiles, the monthly Ladybug mini comics, the Dyanmo anon, and other stuff it's been decently lively.
Well, goodnight.
>>149140493>So, if you have any suggestions or ideas, please don't hesitate to share. With this whole vibe, I can totally see the story featuring an absolutely evil creatureโone that breaks the mold of typical "cryptid" beings and leans more into disturbing than just scary.
I know it's a bit extreme for a /coc/ story, but I was thinking of someone like Judge Holden from Blood Meridian (minus the child rape)โa truly terrifying and unsettling "person" who would make both Billie and the city girl genuinely afraid.
not excatly him but like a man who lives in the town with them and looked normal and all until the girls finds an old pic of him in the civil war and his look didn't change or something like this.
i just got the idea and had to share it with you.
>>149188961Congratulations! 10 years huh, that's quite the legacy.
>The creature lunged it's head forward. Several uneven rows of large, jagged teeth presented themselves, each coated in viscous, fetid drool. As they parted, they revealed a monstrous chasm that hungered for mortal flesh. For mortal suffering. The beast has cheated its final death and is now back, eager to feed as he did all those centuries ago. To fester.
>Wurmeck lives.
Just stay with me for a little while longer, baby boy.
Can't have you dying on my yet...

>>149193319>ZoomerificationPfft, I doubt it.
Dedicated Golden Girl threads have always been bait.
I've been saying it for years now, all real Golden Girl appreciation happens here.
And to an extent the /aco/ threads too. Though it's a different sort of appreciation.

>>149155730Continuing this
>"Oh, for the love of all that is holy and Wi-Fi enabled," Grace groaned, shoving her useless phone back into her pocket. >"You're an idiot, Grace. A colossal, goblin-chasing, wilderness-challenged idiot!" She kicked a loose stone, which barely moved in the thick undergrowth.>Her big city bravado was deflating faster than a punctured inner tube.>She tried to retrace her steps, scanning the leaf-strewn ground for the faint imprints of her expensive sneakers. >A glimmer of hope. There! A barely perceptible depression in the damp earth. >"See?" she announced to the unhearing forest, a burst of false confidence inflating her chest. "This isn't so hard. Just gotta pay attention.">Minutes later, the 'glistening hope' turned into a cold, clammy dread. >She swore she was standing in the exact same spot she'd rested moments ago. >A gnarled oak with a peculiar knot in its trunk. A cluster of unusually tall ferns. It all felt horrifyingly familiar. >She spun around, desperately searching for any landmark, any sign that she was making progress. >Nothing. Just an endless, green-brown maze.>Her legs screamed in protest. Defeated, Grace slumped onto a moss-covered rock, pulling her knees to her chest. >How long would it take for Aunt Ellie to even notice she was gone? And even if she did, with no signal, how would she call for help? The grim reality sank in: rescue wasn't coming anytime soon. >She pictured Aunt Ellie calmly working on her puzzles, oblivious, while Grace slowly withered away, becoming one with the cursed Cowpie soil.>A wave of profound loneliness washed over her.>"This is it," she whimpered, hot tears pricking at her eyes. "Lost. In this godforsaken place. With weird, dirty people and no internet. This is my life now."
>>149193772>Her self-pity was abruptly shattered by the distinct sound of twigs snapping, drawing closer. >Her heart gave a violent lurch, skipping an entire beat. Fear, cold and sharp, pierced through her.>She snatched up her Swiss Army knife, fumbling with the tiny blade, her hands trembling so violently she almost dropped it.>"Listen up, whatever you are!" she squeaked, her voice cracking. "I-I'm not afraid to use this! I... I have a knife! A very sharp knife!">Through the dense foliage, a small, humanoid shape, caked in mud and festooned with stray leaves and twigs, emerged. >It was the same brown-haired, goblin-like creature. It was coming straight for her. Grace braced herself, a scream forming in her throat.>Just as she was about to let out a full-blown shriek that would surely shatter every pane of glass in Cowpie County, the creature grinned. >It wasn't a malicious grin, but wide and gap in its teeth, disturbingly familiar. >Then, with an almost comical springiness, it dropped to all fours and began to violently shake its entire body. Mud, leaves, and bits of unknown forest debris flew through the air like a grotesque confetti explosion, some of it splattering directly onto Grace's face and pristine clothes.>As the muddy cloud settled, Grace blinked, rubbing her eyes. Standing before her, no longer a 'goblin' but unmistakably a little girl, was a miniature version of Billie. >Her brown hair, now mostly free of debris, covered her eyes, and she wore a tiny, mud-stained overall. She looked almost exactly like Billie, only smaller and with an even wilder, more unhinged energy.>The little girl, now somewhat cleaner, let out a series of high-pitched, gleeful screeches, like a feral animal that had just found a particularly interesting beetle. >She then launched into a rapid-fire torrent of what could only be described as gibberish, spoken in a hyper-fast hillbilly accent that made Billie's drawl sound like a dictionary recording.
>>149193781>Then, without warning, she got close to Grace, nose twitching, sniffing her like a curious hound dog meeting a new scent. >She screeched again, pointed a muddy finger at herself, and enunciated, as clearly as she could manage, "NELLIE!" Then, with frantic hand gestures, she pantomimed a taller girl and then pointed from herself to that mimed figure, clearly indicating she was Billie's younger sister.>"Oh god!" Grace said, a wave of profound, comedic defeat washing over her.TO BE CONTINUED
Alright, so
-Gilded Grief
-Bounce Back
-New Iron Girl in Town
-GG Civic Duty
-Center of Gravity
are the scripts I'll need to take off of the GG scripts page now that they've been drawn. Air Bag was already taken off.
I'll also need to update the main GG page to link to the decade volume.
Bounce Back is actually less than a year old and was just notes, so that's a surprising pick. Glad it was of use, it makes having collected it on that page worth it.
>>149193792Nice work.
Good luck getting her into a school.
>>149193481Back at the day, bait was annoying, but at the very least it seemed 4chan-flavored.

Hell, I think I even saw it on /coc/ a couple of threads ago. Remember that anon who suggested that we should "cancel" magi or something like that.
>>149193951I hope my GG art makes it today.
>>149193151If we're doing a new thread tomorrow I say that be it.
