>>149132108Japan and America have exchanged a lot of culture over the last few decades, video games and nerd culture in particular, and all the household and automotive technology. There is nothing sinister about it, if anything it was to strengthen both culture in a rapidly globalizing world after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and then Again after 9/11, and it was a perfect match for certain types of American Suburbanite Demographic.
Cartoon Network Seems to be the biggest part of this, Followed i guess by Disney/Hasbro/The Hub, due to the toy industry in Japan, but I guess even Nckelodeon had a bit of Japanophilia with Say Kimi Finster. Then think of the impact of Fast and Furious Toyko Drift, and the growing popularity of Video Game culture/industry and online forums and message boards, like 4chan. Japan play an important role in our culture and it is all by design. we are a part of it.
