I think the two verses you're using as examples (especially Matthew 6:9) if anything actually stress the sacredness with which the name of God was supposed to be treated. The Septuagint did use the Tetragrammaton improperly, admittedly, but since it was produced under the orders of the pagan Ptolemaic pharaohs I wouldn't put too much importance on that.
