This movie is so ugly. All those aliens look like parasites and bedbugs. The backgrounds are all just blobs. It isn't like the backgrounds are memorable like Zootopia.

Lovecraft once tried to come up with a truly “alien” life form and the best he could come up with was “what if, a color were evil?” And it turns out adapting that into a movie doesn’t go so well because then the incomprehensible color is just purple. I prefer a sentient jellyfish.

Monday showed a very big drop from an already poor weekend, word of mouth isn't going to save it.
People aren't watching it because the premise, the art and the characters aren't interesting to them. The trailers aren't even deceptive. Sometimes a product can be released that won't sell regardless of quality because it has no target audience of note.

Elemental had the Korean love, much like how NeZha 2 was carried by the Chinese box office. Elio was good, but it doesn’t have much staying power. It’s a typical “kid struggles to fit in and then finds himself living his dreams of fantasy and adventure” story.
