there's one cartoon i've been trying to find forever. it was, i think, a single episode on a VHS that came with a massive playset my grandma bought me. it was some type of oil rig-like base, storing some kind of not-super hero team; one of those 80s/90s "everyone is a martial arts expert with chunky hi-tech suits that shoot lasers" or whatever. the only defining feature i remember, since i don't think i had the figures to go with the set, is that it had an air pump. you would smash it, and a plastic projectile would launch from some kind of cannon at the top of the base.

there was also some spanish psuedo-anime from the 80s.all i remember is that it took place in a tropical area, and the bad guy cronies were pink and vaguely triangle-shaped walking heads. i think they were meant to be piranhas, but they were so cartoony you couldn't really tell.

This was actually originally a DOS game, and they had a touring "live experience show" you could go to before the cartoon ever got made.

My only experience with it was nearly getting dragged along to that live experience against my will. I was so glad there was some kind of problem and we couldn't go, because that shit sounded vile.

Ok, this one might as well be lost media, here's the only thing on entire internet about it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34uSgQDbh5w

It's called Matti & Peikko (Matti & Troll). It's a Finnish cartoon based on Finnish folklore tales of Matti (some regular normie) and troll (strong, cannibalistic, has tons of silver and also likes to compete). Two of them compete every once in a while in different things and Matti wins thanks to his wits, earning another sack of silver each time as well as avoiding getting devoured by the troll.

Ot was also narrated by elvira.

i love this crummy ass cartoon so much. Granted...I am a long time fan of the setting.

it does such an unironically good job at capturing the vibe of the setting with it's oddly good writing for a toyetic action cartoon but the CG segments are just so damn ugly sometimes they drag things down.

Rome-0 and julie-8

A tale of two androids manufactured by rival robotics companies who end up falling in love. The similarities between this cartoon and the shakespeare play end there. Julie-8 does attempt to kill herself when shes sold to the lord of a scrap metal planet to be his bride but she just plucks a circuit from her chest which luckily is easily plugged back in by rome-0 when he comes to rescue her. The main characters just look like people but theres a lot of crazy background and side characters with wonderfully weird designs.

I can't remember the name, but maybe some Anon's can help me out. There was a Wild West show/tv movie that aired in the late 90's/early 00's I think on Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. It was either about Wild West stuff in the future or it was about a guy getting magically transported back to the Wild West. All I remember is the main group was a the Main Guy, Calamity Jane, and a stoic badass type who's hero was Wild Bill Hickok. There's a scene where the MC gets kid friendly drunk and stumbles into Wild Bill who's Bounty Hunting them for some reason and the badass guy has to pull his gun on him and says something like: "Sorry Mr. Hickok."

To contribute I'll rec The Haunted Pumpkin of Sleepy Hollow.

This 1-season show about a French Robin Hood-like figure who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. It's hard to find any information on this at all, there are episodes on youtube but only a few of them are in French (with english subtitles) and the rest are from Arabic TV, because this is apparently so obscure that Frenchies don't even have rips of it in their own language.

Honestly outside of the "even if they're assholes we should give them a chance" aesop that falls flat on it's face because it's a 80s kids movie, it's a fairly harmless movie that's below average.

I once saw an feature long cartoon (80, early 90s animation style?) of SANTA CLAUS. Except it was some origin story, and he was young and blonde and looked like Superfriends Aquaman or HeMan (dressed for winter). I don't remember much, because I didn't want to pay too much attention and spoil it, I just wanted to learn what it was called to see if I could find it from the beginning some day. He fought some wizardry stuff that in the end required him delivering gifts to kids every year forever, obviously.

Anyone have a list of everything that aired on animania hd? Imdb and dubswiki isnt everything and ive tried emailing companies but no luck. I need to find 2 lost cartoons from my childhood.

Two 2d cartoons aired on Animania HD in the early 2000s. Possibly by NFB or a classic company like UPA

One was about a crazy family that comes to visit the main character's house. The uncle cut a potato in half and used it like a branding iron and was making fake money in the basement with the kids. The cousins ripped the head off a "muscle man" superhero toy.

Another was about a boy who wasnt happy he was getting a baby sister. His babysitter or aunt says but then you can play cowgirls with the sister, even if its not a cowboy like you wanted. He cheers up a lot. The baby is born and its a boy. The kid is sad and runs away. The aunt or babysitter goes to be the cowgirl.

There's a big stupid video made by a youtuber who doesn't even know T'nuk's name and she's a major character. I doubt he actually watched it, probably just read the synopsis on wikipedia. It's a good show if you like sex/crude humor and unserialized antics. It never really takes itself seriously.
