So in one image you can see the human torch flying while his flame doesn't appear to be on, a bearded version of the Thing for some reason wearing a long sleeved smooth bland costume for more obvious reasons (animating is hard and expensive ;_;)

Meanwhile we're poking fun at one of the characters iconic catchphrase, which embarrasses him, like their is shame associated with it.

Wonder why the Silver Surfer effects look downgraded from the last iteration. I liked the last Silver Surfer... shame they went with this.

Maybe the first Alba one was passable, but it was not "good" at all. Doctor Doom was a boring ass villain and the whole movie is just them figuring out their powers. Kind of shit movies nowadays deal with by the first half at most. Then they shat the bed with the second movie when they fucked up Galactus even harder and Doctor Doom came back for some reason and he was equally pointless.

Really showcased how Hollywood REALLY didn't want to follow the comics at all and do "they own thing" which was just making yet another generic action movie with a recognizable IP.

Maybe they CGI'd it off for the trailer, like Susan's pregnancy for the teaser or the Hulk in Avengers Infinity War. Gotta leave some surprises for the main release.

Not at all. At the time they were seen as some of the lesser cbm of the era; general reaction was mixed to negative. There's been a bit of reapprisal due to nostalgia wanking and the inevitable "old thing good" cycle that comes whenever a new version is released.
