Why aren't bears more used in comics as bad guys? They're fucking scary.
>>149152301 (OP)Bears arenโt scary. Bears are sexy
Bears are scary but they're hardly "bad guys", nor would they really fit into that role super well outside of extremely niche wildlife or adventure comics.
They're not exactly antagonistic or anything, they're just a random animal. Most aren't particularly aggressive and you basically have to go out of your way to encounter one at all, let alone get attacked by one.
Bears, along with bats, rats, and sharks, have had a PR renaissance in the last few decades. I'm not sure what caused it, but fewer people are terrified of them, and even think that they're cute, while recognizing that they're dangerous. Being endangered also doesn't help them look threatening, either.
>>149152544Sharks deserve the PR win, no real point in demonizing a creature that you have to actively try to enter a habitat completely inhospitable to humans that humans were never meant to go to in order to run into one.
If anything we need more evil hippos
>>149152544>bats, ratslegitimately destructive and disease carrying pests under certain circumstances.
>bears and sharksjust doing their own thing and harmless as long as you don't bother them.
>>149152544>>149152894Does mock Sharksfin taste the same as real Sharksfin?
Honestly anons, i seriously wish a lot of the endangered animals werent endangered so i could eat them.
>>149152301 (OP)All the bear bad guys are lame, thatโs why
>>149152301 (OP)Because the "in" tyhing is to always have human/humanoid villains because they are more "deep".
>>149152919>>149153011Jurassic World Chaos Theory had a really vicious one.
>>149155183Ursa Major? A walking joke.
Grizzly? A D-list loser.
>>149152301 (OP)Same goes for cartoons and movies. And yes, they can be insanely scary when you make them look more monstrous and demonic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHlzgQtbb1I
>>149155241>>149152301 (OP)Because they aren't interesting. It's just an animal. You need human villains in order for something to be engaging and have real stakes and drama.
>>149152301 (OP)This is the same as the thread about Lovecraftian enemies from a while back. /co/ is fucking stupid and uncreative, so you'll never get good answers here.
