I feel like the worst part about this is how you can keep the general concept of this fight, but change the execution enough to where it comes across as more intense and memorable.
>Batman is constantly throws Batarangs at Metal
>instead of him swatting them away, Metal dodges them, and he fails to notice them latching onto parts of the bridge
>Metal is kicking Bruce's ass every step of the way, he has Batman on the ropes
>at the climax, Batman presses a button and all the previous Batarangs activate
>they create an electrical field that shocks the both of them
>Metal is deactivated while Bruce is still standing, even if barely
Now you have both Metal losing in a believable way that exploits his general one track mind, while also keeping Batman's reputation as a strategist intact without it falling straight into Batwank territory. And with the fight being so close, neither side can really say they were cheated.
What I'm saying is that this is so close to being decent, hell most of the fights are. They're just flubbing the execution in obvious ways and it's baffling.
