These should be a thing. The problem is most of /co/ refuses to read, and some of those that do have a stick up their asses about how they engage comic threads.
For example: >>149142589 >>149148032
>>149160678
Those are redditors who think they're "hardcore" for posting on "the infamous 4chan" and think they have to act superior to literally everything to fit in.
>>149163259 >>149164113
The comic is more of a thought experiment rather than a proper story. It's about a world where the super powered people are SO superpowered that they are basically living gods and think in completely different ways from humans at this point. Walking cataclysms.
>>149163259
It's extremely short and essentially about how humans become so technologically advanced instead of building nukes they work on making Gods, since humanity has done that since the dawn of their existence. So it's about a hypothetical situation where there is an arms race in creating 'transhumans'

the videogame characters being front and center and not in the background of the panel hidden between the corpses throw me off and i dont like it

So was this before GLs could fly around in a vacuum or did he just not have time to think about how to open the air lock without compromising the seal for the rest of the ship?
>>149168014 >RH treats going back to Gotham like a vacation because it has mostly regular crooks that just want to make a buck robbing stores or banks, except for the crazies that play by their own rules >breaks down and tells Alfred about all the depraved shit involving kids he's seen. and how every day he comes across more "regular people" that don't stand out in the street at all, doing shit that would make most of Batman's rogue's gallery blanch
Third series focused too much on Luther's bitch and she was the worst part of the entire series. Overall it was OK, but still a step down compared to everything that came before it.

Frankly, it's Supergod and Doktor Sleepless that really convinced me that Warren Ellis is either a hack who got lucky, or that his editors are the actual genius. Once that fucker jumped ship to Avatar Press, it was just the same self-indulgent schlock issue after issue and series after fucking series. >the government is corrupt and full of psychopaths! we also need a vast infrastructure that will feed, clothe, and house all the poor impoverished people I love in theory but endlessly spew bile at in practice >the future is so boring, so here's my protagonist who bitches about the fact that selling the patent to his world changing technology! "Abloo bloo bloo, you were supposed to become transhuman sex addicts, not invent social media!" >alien megastructures appearing on Earth with parasitic flowers? Who cares! Here's three issues of a Chinese guy coming to terms with being a troon-fucking faggot, and my obligatory Trump stand in starting WW3 for reasons

Seriously. I cannot believe that Transmetropolitan is actually as good as it is, but even then, Spider is just a a leftoid whinge session away from make it just as insufferable as the others.

Yeah, Ellis made some decent comics.
I'd take him over Bendis, King, Taylor, Slott, Wells, Fraction, Spencer, Tynion, Millar, Waid, Ewing, Camp, and any female western comic writer any day.
>>149190802
That's literally Spanish and the other guy just couldn't tell
and somehow pointing that out is "Reddit"
You guys are fucking bug-men who only use rage bait for you cannot provide anything to this website

I have this issue. I can't remember exactly what it was about but I remember liking this story a lot as a kid. Gore Shriek had some decent stories that weren't pure exploitation sometimes.
Amazing how these profound british comic authors can only ever write scenes of mass destruction and dead bodies in a city while some self-important wanker gives a low IQ take on it. That's the most transformative future they can imagine
>>149193708
Anon >>149193417 is tired of the common tropes and idk what word to usw "characteristics" of British writers, particularly British comic writwrs who often create worlds (often grim dystopic worlds) where mass destruction and death occurs while narrating a cynical and bitter philosophical statement. This is of course because most of the well known writers were young Thatcher era rebel types and stuff.
>>149193090 >read first couple of issues >decide to buy the omnibuses >they've just gone out of print, with only the first one being available >wait >hear news of them finally doing a reprint >it's just for the first omnibus ??? >wait >now they're doing some huge library edition instead, which is more expensive and uncomfortable to read
I swear this is my troubles with the Hellboy BPRD omnibuses all over again. I've been hoping against hope to find someone selling them all this time, but no such luck. Why won't they take my money?
>>149163259
I actually like it as a capstone, because the comic is on the cusp of some kind of blue gay garden eden-ia with his the-page-before-hand cyborg lover, and the purple guy comes in, calls everything but what's about to happen cringe, and dooms the entire planet to get eaten by mushrooms. A fitting end to the comic.

Seems like it. Like what the fuck does >>149192337 >>149200852
do for enticing anyone? Even if it was an /a/ OPT this is just boring. Like if you're going to insist on being off topic might as well post something *good*

Also check out Hillbilly if you haven't >>149201034
It's more fantasy than horror but it has that appalachian gothic vibe in spades.

I have no idea what any of these three are.

I think it's a good manga and all but i cant help but feel like they're rushing the story, i feel like an entire 5 chapters were cut out between Yuva and friends climbing up the tower compared to that new party with the weak dragon guy and the necormancer girl
>>149197866
Same thing with TCGs like Pokemon, just a bunch of chuckles fucks buying as many packs as they can, not for the love of the game, but just to sell. Sucks when you have to tell kids we got no packs in stock because of it.
>>149204478
The one half-decent book I've read from Avatar was Extinction Parade, which is all about how a bunch of vampires bumblefuck their way through the zombie apocalypse and into starvation.
>>149212442
The only benevolent-ish super beings starts off their mission of saving the world by killing a hundred million some-odd pajeets.
Oh yeah, let's add THAT to the list of Warren Ellis's shithead opinions: He's a malthusian misanthrope that thinks you solve a resource and living space crisis with mass murder.
Awful. People tend to post one of the following in these threads: >the same reposts in every thread >widely-hated or outright bad pages >single panels and partial pages >manga pages >double-splashes >cool pages from something recently read
If all but the last two were eliminated, then we'd have something.

From Plastic i believe, about a serial killer super spy who loved a sex doll. This is the rape scene with the feminist college girl side character
>>149211593
Wasn't that a webcomic? The vampires end up having to protect a group of humans from the zombies to secure their own blood supply, in the hopes of finding more humans somewhere else?
>>149216030
Simple anon: >Serial killer is some CIA MK Ultra super spy >He's in love with a sex doll.. because.. >Sex doll is taken away >Serial Killer angry >College student hitchhiking on the roads >Likely a feminist because pink hair and pagan (could also be a nazi, but idk) >Pervy Cop offers her a ride >Cop rapes her for a bit >Serial killer comes save her and ask her help >She helps him
>>149218771
Maybe I'm misremembering but wasn't it revealed that he wasn't the CIA MK Ultra super spy and he likely killed that dude and was using his identity?
>>149220263
I don't think it was meant to be a plot point, just that they all thought he was some off the grid crazy wetworker and he was just some random serial killer.
>>149222993
This specific art, with this specific monster design just looks like it would from a 70s or 80s superman or justice league comic. Dc had a certain style at that time, it's hard to explain. I have no idea who the artist is, but it wouldn't be surprising to if they worked for both.
>>149222116 >>149224360
is it as good as these two pages though?
because i could post 5 pages from the nice house on the lake and it would make it seem like one of the most interesting comics written
but sadly is just fucking shit 90% of the time, it makes me more sad than angry.
>>149224875
Weapons of Mass Diplomacy, it's about a French speech writer for the minister of foreign affairs around the time of the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" bullshit. It's entirely fictional but very funny.

Guy was having sex with a girl.
Friend walks in with said girl.
Guy looks back at the "person" he's having sex with in horror.
It was a demon that took the form of the girl he wanted to fuck.
"she" squeezed his dick off.
