deconstruct funny gags
imitate your favourite shows/writers/comedians
read books on comedy

Comedy is really easy once you break the code. So, technically, there are three types of comedy: pattern interpreted, sexual humour, and nonsense humour. But really all humour is, is a surprise. Now, typically the surprise should at least kind of make sense.
