Season 1 and especially season 2 threads were such comfy times on /co/. All the memes after Just Friends were amazing. Then season 3 was just so whatever. It had some decent episodes, but the more I saw of it the more I was let down. I didn't even watch all the way to the end.

I've just been reminded recently of this show by YouTube randomly serving me clips of Sue Heck from that Malcolm in the middle ripoff who is played by Eden Sher, Star's va.

Like it just kinda sucks that they introduced a decent amount of characters who just don't really fit into what the show actually became. Like I could envision plots where delusional star could end up interacting more with and even befriending some of these characters such as that cheerleader who was constantly getting hurt. GF’s finale wasn’t terrible but definitely rushed like most of the back half of season 2 and I hated the cop out with Stan’s memory. Though I partially blame it being rushed on that lazy fuck Alex Hirsch for deciding to not to a third and final season like he originally planned and instead shoving all of season 3’s plots into 10 season 2 episodes. Conversely, I think Star vs was the opposite where it probably should’ve ended a season or two earlier. I can't speak for everyone obviously but I think this was a more fun watch back when it was still airing and there were discussion threads, not so much as a binge-watch years later. But try it out yourself and see what you think. First season is pretty easy to get into, it's mostly just episodic adventures
