I read an indie comic that had a fairly decent tribute to a notable artist who passed away fairly recently at the time of publishing.
All things considered I thought it was pretty good aside from exactly who the person it was tributing to.
The problem exactly?
The artist was Roy Lichtenstein and in the coming years his legacy would be furthered marred with people within comics openly hating his guts now.
Sure he didn't rape people or commit murder but the sentiment that he was a thieving hack who lived in luxury while the artists he stole from wallowed in poverty (essentially making him like Bob Kane) became more prominent as the years went by.
