I'm planning on seeing this opening weekend, but this is exactly why Gunn was wrong for this, notwithstanding his alleged reputation of being a 'comic book guy' and Gunn's stupid repeated assertions that he read All Star - he probably skimmed some of it, and looked at the pretty art and called it a day.

This is a movie about a Superman whose been active for three years; this scene portrays a Superman whose barely been active a day.
Yes, Superman has been angry - he's been angry at the batgod, he's been angry at Darkseid, and he's been angry at the Wizard about Billy being a kid, and he's been angry at Lex - probably many times. And he can certainly and has raised his voice.

And he's certainly broken things, but this is just badly and stupidly written.
The breaking of the door, and especially the desk flip, are just some SNL skit tier crapola.
Superman should approach the tower in flight, he should broke the window if anything needs to get broken, and Lex should have had laser guns with green lights come out the minute Superman approached the office tower, etc.

A Superman with even a year's of experience would be far more like PICREL.

Sigh.

Now I truly believe this movie is going to fail. The Lois interview could have been a fluke same with showing Superman crying for Krypto to save him in the first trailer. But now this scene? Three strikes you're out. Superman's characterization is all wrong. All I'm going to say is Warner is not out of the woods. And Batman Brave and Bold is not going to rescue them.

Also I thought Gunn was a Morrison fan? Their relationship in the comics is much better, you're sympathetic for Frank but understand The Bride's point of view and they're actually coworkers.
