>>149199340>dude businessmen are evil lmaoThe worst of it is that one of the things that made Norman such a great, compelling, nuanced villain was that he really did love his family, he was just terrible at expressing it, in part because of his awful dad and childhood experiences, in part because of his ideals on what is correct masculinity, but he really did love them, and trying to protect his family, or his inability to properly grieve dead family members ended up feeding into his villainy.
But in Zombie Marvel, Norman's wife didn't actually die, she just faked her death and left him because he was always evil, and she was afraid he might hit her, but not so afraid that she'd take Harry with her, and also Norman sold Harry's soul to the Devil in return for all his successes in life, and instead of retconning any of this, they just keep doubling down on it. It reads like someone at Marvel hates Norman so much but knows they can't kill him, so they just tried to ruin everything about him instead, and retcon away all his accomplishments in life, sometimes with Mephisto. But against all odds, even in his current state, Norman manages to be one of the only compelling characters in modern Marvel.
