>>149208415 (OP)They're talking about the animated TV department not feature animation which Disney has obviously had a stranglehold in the United States and because Disney was jewish and moved all their top tier animated content (Gargoyles, Timon & Puumba, Aladdin & Hercules series, Darkwing Duck/Duck Tales/Quack Pack/Mighty Ducks, Goof Troop, Doug, Pepper Anne, Tailspin, Rescue Rangers, even Tarzan & Jane, etc.) over to "Toon Disney" so anyone who grew up with basic cable grew up with a Disney Channel that mostly played live action shows. In the late 90's/early 00's this was cool because you had shows like So Weird, Boy Meets World, Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, In a Heartbeat, etc and Disney Channel Original Movies like Halloweentown, Phantom of the Megaplex, My Date With the President's Daughter, Thirteenth Year, etc. but no real "good" cartoons other than The Little Mermaid tie-in series, Kim Possible, and the occasional New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. By the mid 00's it was even worse as all of those got canned and replaced by things like Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Shake It Up!, Zack & Cody, Hey Jesse, and the occasional toon that would get cancelled like Buzz on Maggie so really CN was the juggernaut of cartoons, especially when kids got old enough to watch not so secretly watch Adult Swim later in the evening/passed their bedtime and Nick was always the second option with shows like Rugrats, CatDog, Angry Beavers, and then eventually becoming the channel that you would watch SpongeBob or Avatar: the Last Airbender on.
I remember as a kid thinking it was weird how CN was my go-to greatest of all time pick except for a month in summer when I'd go visit my Aunt and Uncle and get access to Toon Disney and forget CN even existed. If Disney has just been a little less jewish and made Toon Disney available on basic cable nationwide they would've dominated households and minds but they unfortunately sealed their fate with that business decision.
