I haven't agreed this much with a character or quote in QC for years. Maybe a decade.
I continue to find it hard to believe one of my favorite things to come out of the internet has fallen to such a fucking despicable state.

No. We were dangerously close to something changing the status quo.
Heff has to flounder for a while, so enjoy quirk chungus antics until he gets bored and invents a new waifu.

QC has been plugging along for over 20 years. Especially if someone started reading it near the beginning, they've been following this shit for most of their life. By sheer longevity it worms its way into the top spot, and then you have to consider the fact that clearly there's SOMETHING about it that keeps us here in this thread week after week. I won't say someone calling it a favorite is healthy but it's not unjustified.

Yeah, it's dbaru and hanners (for me at least. Others seem to be here for Dr. Loli, Moray, or the fat bottom bitches).

I'm old. It *was* one of my favorite things. Hasn't been for a long, long time.
Back when it was new, QC was something amusing, compelling, and consistent. If you were some shithead kid who liked music, Marten was compelling. It was nice to watch him at least try every day not to be a loser.
Back when Marten was the main character and the other characters were actually characters, it wasn't unusual to casually discuss the new comic that had dropped that morning.

More or less. No, it's not that healthy but at this point now I want to see how this bus eventually crashes. Sense of closure and all that.
