I hate when superheroes get pet sidekicks. It's so fucking corny 1950's bullshit. Yeah we know its made to appeal to kids, but having a super pet that looks just like a regular animal is such an outdated idea it should have been left in the silver age era along with all the other stupid ideas they had. Any animal introduced should be considered a battle assist like Odin with Sleipnir, not some marketable toy shit.

I agree but good luck on getting /co/ to entertain the idea, everyone here loves the idea of "muh fun comics" but you'd be hard pressed to find many people here who've actually read many, let alone name most of the creators. Most posters familiarity likely ends with a few adaptations or modern comics where they're a novelty at best.

Stuff like shared universes and crossovers were already established in the Golden Age.
