Grimsburg is such a dogshit show. I swear to fucking god these shows arent kept on the line up because they have fans but because they dont have other shows as profitable as Seth's show's and they need lots of filler content to not make that bias incredibly obvious.

The problem is they keep ordering second seasons of these shows before the first one even airs.

Grimsburg's ending of the 1st season sucked so bad I didnt even wanna watch more of the show. Even then the 2nd season feels like I am watching S1B where pretty much almost nothing has changed.

Stamos, the lead commissioner of the town's police department turns evil near the end of S1. Its referenced in the beginning of the season that her son is very well aware of how evil his mother is but no one in the police department take him seriously. It was a lame cop out ending in a show that is basically nothing but gags. Its actually already beginning to run out of material of its original pitch which is a town full of serial killers.

Daily reminder this this would've been the style of adult animation if The Simpsons never happened.

Its something the industry unthinkingly copied from Netflix.
If you break the production season up into two narrative seasons it lets you stretch a show out and if its a hit get people coming back. Which works for a binge model but not for broadcast.

Was there ever as many "Family Guy" style looking cartoons compared to how many "Rick and Morty" style shows that we're still getting for some reason?

What's so special about Grimsburg and Duncanville that they could get three seasons, yet Housebroken can't even air its full second season? All three are pretty equally uninspired and only held up by having a celebrity in the lead role. I don't appreciate FOX playing favorites like that...

Grimsberg is okay, it's kinda the new season of rick and morty. Inoffensive, just mildly interesting enough to tune in when you've got nothing better to do.

You forget that Seth MacFarlane was, first and foremost, an animator, and his animation conventions have had a major influence on syndicated television to this day.

Grimsburg has Jon Hamm as the star and an exec producer, and Duncanville was co-created by Amy Poehler. Housebroken doesn't have anyone of note besides sharing a creative team with Veep.

Part that kills me was the pilot was hilarious. Comedy is dead, thus decades all about being pissed off. Sadly Family guy is probably the funniest thing in 2025.

It was good, best of the 3. Housebtoken is woman writer shit jokes, Grimsburg is at the line. Every 2nd episode gets one good joke with the rest being filler.

I gotta be honest, while the majority can vary between middling and decent, the Con-Con episode had my sides splitting start to finish. The sheer amount of visual gags and wordplay they squeezed in was comedy gold especially the meet-cute at Rom-Con. I feel the show has so much potential as long as they can figure out how to utilise it, when they hit it hits great but yeah sometimes they just kind of flounder on drunk cop is drunk.

Current day american dad is consistently pretty good, it gets less attention but i would definitely say it has more going for it in terms of humor and writing that family guy in recent seasons.
