I'll start. There's less time between the airing of the first Flintstones episode and the airing of the first Simpsons episode than there is between the airing of the first Simpsons episode and today.

The latter makes me appreciate the former, honestly. What's a worse fate; having your favorite show get shit-canned potentially unexpectedly, or to see it go one for so long it's less than a shadow of its former self? Hell, Boondocks was only 4 seasons and the writing quality between S1 and S4 is day and night.

although people might say that 90s was peak for adult animation, it was actually 2000s that was more peak for adult animation, which was due in large to Adult Swim being huge for that particular decade. Especially when they have original programming like Aqua Teen, Robot Chicken, Venture Bros., Squidbillies, Superjail, Metalocalypse, Boondocks, Moral Orel and Harvey Birdman and reruns such as Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama, King of the Hill, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, etc.

To be fair that's any modern entertainment using older music. I wouldn't be into oldies if it weren't for games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
>>It's 20 years old. That means it's retro
I mean 20 years is old. retro doesn't mean much beyond "old" unless we need a new term for a "second retro generation" if that makes sense
>>Early 2010s was the Cartoon Network renaissance
No one actually said that, unless it was one zoomer, and that zoomer would be bullied for saying live action CN was anywhere good
>>Superman was the first superhero
I mean to be fair he's the face when you imagine "Superhero" and that's from decades of marketing. It's not correct but I don't blame how Zoomers come to the conclusion
>>Gross-out cartoons are bad
Personal taste; but I also agree. It's fine if you're a smaller kid, but I think they try too hard to one up themselves

and now to answer your question, I guess in the landscape we have, it depends. Smiling Friends is a spectacular return to form to classic 2000s Adult Swim, Grimsburg is a surprisingly decent Fox animated sitcom (I hope it doesn't get cancelled) and Common Side Effects is a great conspiracy drama, and I'm excited for its second season. Plus, the industry has slowly abandoned the whole nihilistic shit (and even beanmouth), so there may be some optimism

All the people who lived in a world without the internet everywhere will be dead over the next century or so. Weirds me out that it'll seem as distant as a world without electricity does to us. People might understand intellectually what it was like, but they won't really feel the difference or know it fully. Kinda cool in a way that we got to live in the transitionary era. Zooming out a bit, the whole 20th century/early 21st was a massive leap and transformation in everything about civilization that's going to be debated and studied forever.

Leap in what way? We've never been more interconnected with each other at any point in history, yet paradoxically, folks are becoming increasingly disconnected with reality at an astonishing scale. Birth rates plummetting, depression skyrocketting, an upcoming silent generation that legit has no fucking clue what to do with their lives, massive desinformation that would make the fascist empires of the old cum violently, etc, etc.
Shit's grim. Very grim. I don't think we'll last more than another 1000 years.

In that way, for one. I'm not commenting on whether it's a positive leap or not, only that it's a massive change.

what marvel has done to beast has been the biggest character assassination in /co/ history.

but on the other hand, it fits with the scenes of beast in jail in the 90s animated cartoon. at one point, he's reading a book called "you can't go home again". which perfectly sums up not only the character of beast if you ever liked him in the comics, but also the state of western comics

Superman is most famous Action Comics character and he is One Man Gestapo and Uncle Tom , he represents The Ultimate end point and The Threat to Them
Batman is the most famous Detective Comics character Even tho Detective Comics #1 started with another Siegel's character ie Dr Occult who literally in the debut issue battles a literal Blood sucking vampire using Georgian style cross and then when it stops working (subverted) he finds another way and ultimately triumphs. Batman on the other hand is enabling Them , Batman is rich first and foremost , Batman is also very easily can be spin into a pedophile power fantasy and LGBT icon too (that's why Batman wiki has pride shit while Superman wiki never did and Never will!)

They are threatened, that's why it isn't Superman - DC Comics anymore but just a DC Comics, that is why they desperately want to spin Superman into illegal immigrant even tho he Is the one illegal immigrant who KEEPS the status quo going on instead of rebelling against it. It's why they desperately want Superman to equate to Moses even tho they are literally 180° opposite characters in their ways and purposes! That's why current Superman movie is fully directed and written by (friends of) pedophiles just like it was before Zack Snyder era.

Siegel predicted their downfall.

Rentals aren’t extinct, they’ve just taken this completely retarded form where you pay to access a digital file for a couple days instead of a physical tape or DVD. Rentals made logical sense when you were limited to physical media, but it makes no sense to pay for temporary access to data.
