So the movie makes a point of demons not being bad by nature - the main kpop pretty boy is basically a fallen human with a flaws like most people alive. And it seems like since people were starting to get corrupted in the end all demons are of that nature. And the film does great reflection on shame and guilt and making amends and stuff.
So I expected film to end on demons being redeemed and status quo updated with all demons being allowed to go back to being people or something
Instead literally nothing happens. Huntrx keep killing them and enjoying their deaths, fuck them I guess. The only one who gets a redemption (in death) is Jinu. And the takedown song which is supposed to be ill-conceived and hateful by narrative plays in the credits. Wtf? It was doing so great with making Jinu a very very flawed person who made a very bad choice but still treating him as deserving of stuff. But in the end we don't really think about it at all, film only just cares about Rumi. And even her story is really undercooked with Seline having like three scenes and all being super vague.
Great animation, cute girls, lots of fun scenes and songs and it just sorts of gives up at trying to live up to their themes they set up in the start. Anyone feeling the ssame?
So I guess fuck them demons eh? There's no redemption for them unless they are direct love interest for Rumi.

We see Rumi trying to talk to one of them after she first starts talking to Jinu and he growls in her face. You shouldn't harm yourself or others to try and help someone who doesn't want to be helped.
I think it does open the door in a potential sequel to free the demons from Gwi-Ma but I imagine that isn't the demons turning back into people but finally reincarnating or something. They served their time in Hell for the terrible actions they did and now they can finally move on instead of being trapped forever. This can potentially tie into the new Honmoon not being gold, which was started to trap the demons in Hell forever, but is now multi-colored which probably doesn't do the same thing. This means there's room in the future to fix the problem for good instead of just ignoring it.

Some people have said they should have expanded more on the Saja Boys and Mira/Zoey, but I think that's a case of fans just being interested in the characters rather than the movie actually suffering from the way it presented them. The girls are fine as supporting characters for Rumi's lead, and the boys are fine as one-note henchmen for Jinu. It would be fun to see more of all of them but not critical by any means.

The stuff that's missing that seems really important, namely Celine's whole deal and Rumi's father seems to have been deliberately left out and maybe left as sequel bait based on how the directors are talking. Celine getting no screen time is I think the only thing that makes the story suffer since as you said it's the central conflict. A few more minutes would have really helped out since Celine basically just disappears in the middle of the movie. Having Rumi go to her to try and get help and getting told to cover it all up would have contrasted nicely with her rendezvous with Jinu.
