Ive just finished watching season 1 and out of all the episode segments, only 16 out of 52 were even good, the rest ranged from generic sitcomy plots (A Fair To Remember, Come Sale Away, A Tale of Two Tables, Studymuffin) to a bunch of cruel, mean spirited episodes (The Green House, Heavy Meddle, Save The Date, It's A Loud Loud Loud Loud House, Sleuth or Consequences and many more)

Not really, the main reaon poeople even remember this show is the incest.

If you're into fart jokes then yeah.

It gets worse. They start giving the sisters unique personalities, hobbies, and lives outside of their family. They also start developing the community they live in. No one wants to see that.

From what I have seen so far, it is less that they fleshed them out, but they ran out of plot based on their initial gimmicks.
