i dunno if it'd be possible. twin villains are usually really lame. if a "supervillain" is just two characters (usually siblings) paired together and their whole gimmick is just that there's two of them, it gets kinda lame. the only instance where i liked it was with the kabuki twins from the batman for whatever reason. for the most part though, it always just feels stupid and they're almost always just fodder to build up villain teams anyway

Dixon's run was set up around a single overarching villain with every other villain either an underling or associate/rival in the same field and later writers kept that dynamic, which meant that the majority of the villains were either hired guns, mob muscle, or other gangsters. Nightwing originally, in terms of story format, was closer to Dick Tracy than Batman.

Also artists on the various runs were lousy at coming up with good designs, compounded with comics' usual problems of failing to update bad designs and reverting redesigns to the original. Why does Lady Vic look like she's wearing 40% of toku costume when she's an English gentlewoman with a taste for antiques? Why does Brutale look like he got dressed in a dumpster behind a Halloween store when he's an ex-intelligence agent? Fuck you, that's what was shat out in 30 years ago which means the designs are holy and sacrosanct even if they're completely unfitting for the characters on top of looking like shit.

Each era has ended with a completely fresh slate. A new town, a new status quo, a new supporting cast, new villains, etc. Whether it's a nuke, a bomb in the chest, or a bullet to the head, DC Editorial had no interest in keeping a sense of consistency and continuity with the character. They actively relished tearing his shit down. It's like they were intentionally fucking Dick over again and again and again.

It's not reductive. Dixon and Greyson defined Nightwing for 8 years and established his core villains. He wasn't supposed to survive IC which is one of the reasons why they torched Bludhaven and his OYL run was so slapdash. Morrison grabbed him for Dickbats which killed the title, Nu52 had no clear editorial direction and writers frequently complained of scripts being shuffled into Batman plots and abrupt story wrecking dictates which carried through until the Ric era. Grayson I can assume only came about because of another failed attempt to Didio to kill off Dick. Ric was basically an OC with legacy branding and again had something to do with Didio's hard-on for killing off Dick. Modern is the first era in 20 years where they're not immediately subjected to editorial mandates to do specific things with the book only for it to change 5 months later or their villain ideas aren't being shunted to a Batman book to cram into his already bloated villain roster.

The plan was always to "kill" Dick Grayson after Forever Evil. The first pitch they planned on doing was Dick Grayson undercover as Police Officer John Blake trying to track down Owlman. Then Snyder claimed Owlmaan for his Justice League run, dropping his obsession with Dick, and they went the secret agent route instead. But the "death" still came from Didio's obsession with shaking up Nightwing's status quo.

The Bea stuff was probably Travis Moore. There's a reason they brought him on for the Captain Blud arc, and he wrote her origin story in that Annual.
Bringing Amy back just turns her into a Gordon ripoff. Ganon didn't have a personality. Clancy doesn't serve a narrative purpose when Dick is with Babs, there's a reason she was written out of the Dixon run.
