The last one absolutely. Adam Warlock and Nebula had fuck all to do in the plot. The latter felt particularly forced by the studio, despite the fact that the story was about Counter-Earth and the High Evolutionary and had all those mentions of God. It looked like it was setting up Warlock's space Jesus story from the comics, yet he might have been replaced literal by any other flying character. His initial attack on Rocket may as well have been the neon sign falling on him.

they're supposed to be "corpo" designs iirc to contrast them with the more idealistic Superman. there's nothing wrong imo with having these heroes here, they're probably not going to do much other than maybe Mr. Terrific and they're clearly meant to show a difference between the more corporate, "business" approach that some heroes are taking vs. the idealistic, true to himself character that Superman is. it makes perfect sense to me, especially considering Gunn's punk philosophy and personality
