Hitler was hardly the worst dictator in human history and there are others who committed greater amounts of death and genocide. The issue isn't calling Hitler out for the retarded evil despot he was, it's that calling him uniquely evil makes all other atrocities seem tame by comparison. Hitler wasn't unique, hell he didn't even kill that many people when compared to Stalin or Mao, but treating Hitler as the end all be all essentially deifies him and also makes it seem like a regime like that could never occur again.
