Is the slop generator broken for anyone else? It thinks for ages, then puts up the "sorry it's taking so long" pop up, and then if I click back on a previous gen it shows me thumbnails of what it just rendered, but when I try to view them I just get the bluejay and it says I have to do it again. Yes, for basically everyone. It's been like that for a few days now. Basically, if you don't get 4/4 results on your prompt you'll experience the blue bird. To work around it, in your Recent tray, if you right click on each image you can Open in New Tab, in the URL bar for that thumbnail image, delete everything after the question mark and you'll get the full sized image.

Flux does seem like that. I haven't actually tried Flux Dev, which is a much bigger model other than a couple samples when it was up on Huggingface (it's much more expensive to prompt Flux Dev on Civit), but yeah, that has kind of been my experience messing around with it. GL with your errands, hopefully you can enjoy some nice weather while doing them.

Remember to put stuff in the anti-description to help cut down on things you don't wanna see.

I'm pretty sure it uses less running time than Bing so you're gonna get a higher ratio of bad images to passable ones which is probably why it lets you gen up to 12 images at once. You also gotta be very specific sometimes or else it thinks you're being too vague and puts things where you don't want them. I've also never used that Scratchpad just above where you put in the prompt, but it lets you put in scripts to make things specific to words you put in your prompts.

Hands with Perchance vs Bing is pretty bad. Bing is far more likely to give proper hands while Perchance tends to give you messy looking hands. If you want more professional looking stuff I'd go for Bing and use Perchance for slop since the there's no censoring.

I switched full time to perchance awhile ago. More so now that the upgrades for graphics came in. I know some people have a hard time getting things to gen with prompts but I've done ok for the most because I type like I'm writing ok descriptive scene in a book.

I find I do fairly well without setting it to an art style. it's a bit rigid but so are many gen sites with their styles. I do get annoyed how some are VERY specific to a type and if you try to step out of it than it wont add stuff you want. 5d makes good gens but try to make a cyborg robot chick fighting and it ignores a bunch of the prompt details and just makes her fairly regular.

As much as I love setting my stuff to pixel I learned I actually can do more with the style of pixel if I dont set it to pixel and just put pixel art and than the details of what I want (4 colors as example and the colors it uses) and so I personally find no style can work extremely well for what you want with some creative prompt wording. however no style can also go very quickly into wtf or please god no territory with gens due to no style. but I have a negative prompt I use that is very short and to the point and tends to keep the nightmare fuel gens down a bit. it's a bit silly but this is literally the prompt I use and I noticed an increase in the gen results quality for the most (some gen prompts still get wacky). and yes it has the quotes and ( ) on purpose though you can try it without those there. Ive had it turn gens that were just bad turn into decent results using this negative prompt combined with decent enough prompts for the gen.

I've got two tricks, I use them regularly, first is the five minute trick. If there's a task or hobby you want to do but you can't motivate yourself to do it, set a five minute timer and start doing it. When the time goes off, you're allowed to quit guilt free, but you can keep going if you want to too.
If that doesn't work, I try and get myself lost in either music or a new skill (distraction trick), if there's something you wish you knew how to do, know how it works, or are just curious about. Pull up Wikipedia and just start researching it like crazy -or- try listening to some music outside of your normal stuff, something serious and thought provoking, pull up the lyrics and read along with the song, really engage with it, not just background.
Also, a cheap something that has 'some' scientific backing, try taking St. James Wort every day. It really helped even out the peaks and valleys for me. I know fugue states can be weighing, I hope something helps.

Sora has a really powerful brain and it's good at following complex prompts but the artstyles are a total mess usually. You basically have to ape Ariel poster simple artstyles to get stuff that doesn't look like uncanny slop. Even pic attached to this looks weird with the characters kinda looking superimposed on the background.
Its major benefits are being able to give to send it pictures and say things like "have the background be this location" or "have the character wear this clothing item". Also text, as you can ask it to make twitch chat or 4chan comments about whatever topic and it will just make stuff up that kinda makes sense on its own

They're pretty good, i've only been using dall-e like 30% of the time since last december probably. ImageFX knows a decent amount of more characters than dall-e and Sora knows far more characters. And you can send it pictures of characters it doesn't know and have it gen them based on that (for me it was the Vermintide characters I had to do that for)

not him, but like on Tuesday or Wednesday a glitch started where if it doesn't make 4 images it seems to freak out and not allow you to click to see the images and wipes part of the prompt out, you have to do some work arounds to download images and get the prompt, if you didn't save it already. The resize is either broken and gone or they got rid of it, but that's not really the main issue as much.
