We know nothing about her reign and the policies she pursued, not about taxes, not about relations with other countries, NOTHING at all.
Disney is so used to showing stories about Princesses that they don't know how to tell a story about a Queen.
That's why they spend more time on Anna and her daily life than showing how Elsa rules her country, which in my opinion is a huge relief that our girl should appear on the screen at least once, ruling her people and state.

WRONG!

Children and young audiences love to watch Kings and Queens doing cool things on their throne, how they rule and command an army for example, it looks damn cool and pompous, children love this, if children saw Elsa on a horse at the head of an army giving commands to her guards, they would squeal with joy, both girls and boys.

They don't want to see the king sitting through boring meetings about taxes and shit. This is a children's movie, made to entertain children, not persnickety whiners who can't stop asking stupid fucking questions like "What's Elsa's tax policy?" or "What do people in Pallet Town eat?" or "Why didn't they just prevent the entire plot from happening before it even started?". Given the time period, Arendelle is probably funded mostly by tariffs, tolls and dues, but might also have a land tax since Arendelle is Nordic based and Norway had one.

Because I'm sick of seeing people ask the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Always the same pointless questions about pointless shit that nobody who isn't terminally autistic cares about, and that the target audience of the work in question certainly doesn't care about. And the autists asking those questions already know the answers, because they've been answered a million times, BUT THEY KEEP FUCKING ASKING THOSE QUESTIONS. It's like an infinite army of robots that runs on pure autism, running the same program endlessly.

Frozen 2 should have taken elements from the Kalevala.
Louhi could have been a dark reflection of Elsa, showing what someone with her kind of powers could have become without love.
Also it should have had Väinämöinen, because he is the man.

Assuming Arendelle is meant to exist in our world, it honestly doesn't make much sense.
It barely seems to be bigger than a city state, and from what we can glean from the environment, it would be located pretty far north in Norway, so somehow it would have managed to remain independent during the viking unification of Norway, while being tiny as fuck, and located in one of the most remote places on Earth at the time.
Only explanation that makes any sense is that the ruling family is kept in power by some sort of magic. Maybe even being decedent from trolls themselves.

Still feels weird that they wouldn't have gotten swallowed up during the unification period, since even the fucking Sami didn't manage to dodge it.
I guess they could have broke away at a later date, maybe some duke or whatever wanting more power, but they would have had to have gotten serious support from a big outside power for a revolt like that to not just get put down.
It's not like this is one of those small HRE city states that's surrounded by hundreds just like it.

If I was in charge of Frozen, I would have the Arendelle royal family be of an ice magic bloodline. Elsa's situation has happened before. The book with the picture of removing ice from a soldier? Common occurrence. The hand shackles? No way they were commissioned and made by Hans in such a short period of time. King Runeard hates magic because his sister, a Snow Queen herself, destroyed the original castle, thus why they were building anew thirty-something years before Elsa was crowned queen.

It seems they don't have an Army, but rather something like a Guard/Police to maintain order and that's it. Anons here say that Arendelle is a city state, but it seems to me that its borders are a bit bigger, after all, there should be some villages and settlements around there, by the way, is the Enchanted Forest in whose territorial possessions?
If Runard built platinums there and moved with his guards, then this means that these are the Lands of the kingdom of Arendelle, and they traveled to the Forest for several days (a day, I think), so yes, Arendelle and its borders are bigger than it seems.

By the way, do Northuldra pay taxes?

Bro...I only saw the movie twice, but I don't remember them sitting down at daddy's elbows at negotiating tables, or going over the country's finances with the book keepers. I just saw them doing carefree girl shit. Maybe the home release added some deleted scenes or some shit, but I'm just saying. Pretty sure their parents were just going to have whoever married the oldest daughter do the ruling (because HE would have been the one getting an education on ruling a country, while his queen's job is to spread 'em and produce heirs), and didn't teach these girls jack-shit.
