It's because just before CoiE Krypton might as well not have exploded at all. You had Supergirl, Krypto, Beppo, the Kandorians, the Phantom Zone criminals, plus Superman had a visor he could use to see Krypton in the past PLUS he could actually travel back to the past under his own power.

I mean, Kryptos did explode tho, there were just survivors, the planet exploded and a ton of people died along with it, the fact that there were survivors doesn't negate the fact that the planet Krypton was still dead and gone.

I wish this comic was referenced more, because it really gets to the core of what motivates Kara to be a hero on Earth, and it's different from Superman. Having experienced as a grown up the destruction of her planet, she sees life as something incredibly frail that must be protected at all costs.
This plucky Kryptonian girl is telling you her story but the wind keeps blowing and your attention veers towards her shapely legs and her all too short skirt, hoping she doesn't notice.

Then you'll have a bunch of characters with the same exact powers running around and destroying any sense of stakes since if there are multiple Supermen on the planet, then how is it not perpetually at peace?
