The Prowler, at least has metallic gauntlets with claws that have the same resistance as your typical grapple hook and under the forearm, both gauntlets can shoot ropes with anchor points and swing on it, like a "Poor man's spider-man", a human vigilante version with no superpowers, or use them as zip-lines which is a sick design in my opinion.

Now catwoman, besides her signature whip (which btw isn't a resistant as an actual grapple hook) is seen as able of climbing, wall crawling and swinging without any of the Prowler equipment. How the fuck does she do it?

It's not like Selina is super-heavy, so her whip could support her weight, but to swing on it in the first place, she has to wrap her whip around a structure, and it has to stay steady on it.
Every single depiction of Catwoman's whip doesn't have any claw, anchor, or metallic thing to stay steady on a structure, so in a realistic situation she couldn't even be able to swing in the first place lol

She has claws that she uses to scratch Batman as well as climb. She's also agile and is in peak physical condition. There are IRL people that scale buildings and mountains with no equipment. Not to mention parkour videos of people jumping around large distances. Even Stan Lee could parkour.
