* I found you have to download the pack from multiple sources and then unzip them all together into one directory in order to get all the files. Not sure what's up with that...

1. You said this is a read-along, but did you mean something more along the lines of a stroytime?
2. If we're going to be posting Homestuck pages in here, most likely from the UHC, how will we get any of the Flashes or games in?
3. In the very likely case that we're not taking on storytime format, what is the point of simply requesting /co/ anons to read and discuss it in certain time? Why not set up a stream on Cytube or something and broadcast a read-along of the entire thing to the userbase in the same schedule?

If you're going to do this, we have to do it right. I'm sure you're aware the majority of the world has decided to wage war on Homestuck, so we need anything like this to be as compelling as possible, or it won't motivate anyone past the oppression and bans. Not trying to come off as terse, just got excited and I'm a little confused now.

Does anyone else wonder what would have happened if generative AI (and I mean specifically image tools, not writing tools) were commonplace during Homestuck's original run? Not in the sense of generating whole panels and characters themselves but in the sense of all the stolen artwork and images he pasted into the comic. He let the community decide what would happen next with controlled input. All the first 4 kids' names were community decided. There were fun teasers for what would come in the forum. I miss it. That said, all that shit went away when the Troll society was introduced. There were just too many fans after that for Hussie to realistically talk to. Shit became more structured. I was starting to play the new chapters of deltarune recently, and god damn, they feel so much like early homestuck in tone and what it tries to do.

Just the author trying to have fun with his own story and characters, trying to add emotional weight to his own narrative but not being pretentious about it. But the thing is even the peak of delta rune is probably mid tier early homestuck. This story was so good and reached such amazing heights, did trannies really had to ruin something so beautiful with their own narcissistic desires of seeing themselves in to everything.

I often feel sad to think about how the world is going, how eventually in time they will go back in to being marginalized people, scum of this earth, as the pendulum swings, not much by their own choice but the souless corporations trying to profit of their struggles to build a brand, but if they ruined something so amazing as homosuck for their own selfish desires, maybe is deserved, maybe is karma trying to find a balance.

She allows herself to be isolated by being overly submissive and patient in interactions and even feels isolated from her friends even though the adore her. She acts out to make other want to be around her but the moment she was about to do something in this vein that could land her in serious trouble she is saved by being teleported. After that she spends a lot of time getting to know her new living space, isolated from her old life, and she protects her new living space. She quite easily draws people to her by being generous and helpful, often trying creative idea that require making something but she still seperates herself from them, isolated by being from somewhere else.

She learns a lot about biology, specifically frog biology, even having an entire quest about thawing them out.

Ultimately she protects this new space only to leave, lonely and isolated again but still connected across the vast distance. A silver lining is she's now even closer to her original friends even if they go their separate ways.

A few years ago, I had the idea to adapt at least part of Homestuck into a format suitable for a 4chan storytime (which is to say, every page would serve as its own image.) I stopped around a hundred posts into Act 1 after my hard drive was corrupted and most of my edits got fucked; this is one of the two-dozen or so I have left from the data recovery process.

It's not terribly hard to format most pages into a singular image, text and pesterlogs included - at least early on. That's not to say you don't have to do a bit of finagling (pic related was one of the most time-consuming to make, given it displays two gifs at different framerates) but it's not horribly difficult for anyone that knows a bit of Photoshop. It was actually kind of fun, but I figured that it wasn't worth the time it would have taken to bang out everything pre-A6.

But I see now that it was obviously a good idea, because in its wake is this abomination of a thread. OP doesn't get the fact that storytimes work because most of the thread is spent on fucking story time, not on some bullshit honor system that no one is going to follow. I would actually argue that Homestuck, specifically, is one of the worst possible candidates for a "read-along," because the fandom is so autistic and has so many different tangents to go off into apropos of literally nothing that you actually NEED to railroad the thread into a storytime to stay on-topic. Storytimes discourage off-topic bullshit by virtue of the format being page after page until the fucking thing's done, that's why you see people getting shit on every time they post an image in the middle of one.

I'm rambling by this point, but I guess I'm trying to say that if you want a reasonable HS thread where people discuss the plot as opposed to a pathetic shithole where autists like hypnofag and the fucking moron that kins Hussie get to clog up the thread with their babble, you're gonna need to crack open Photoshop and get to editing.

Going off of this to say that the massive pesterlogs in later Acts would be a headache to contain to the page they're on, but wouldn't actually be too much of a problem to adapt. The most time-consuming part was/is adapting the .gif pages.

The hardest part to adapt would be the [S] sequences, what with the interactable Strifes and explorable sections and what have you; everyone who wanted to go along with a Homestuck storytime would 100% have to install that 4chan webm sounds player addon, for one, and the player would probably have to divvy up the exploreable sections into multiple webms to mimic a Let's Play while keeping things under the filesize limit.

All that being said, I really can't stress enough that this isn't that difficult of a thing to replicate. You could probably bang out everything up to the end of Act 5 in a few months if you had a few friends helping you.

Destroying misfortune and bad routes for your enemies not so much but if the prince doesn't kill his enemy then he either laid an even greater doom upon them or inadvertently destroyed the doom that was meant for them.

Same for an ally, an action can lay a great doom upon a friend if they aren't careful.

If you want a personality read for the classpect I would hazard that a prince of doom is lively, active and quit joyful because we all must die sometime so why hold back? This is what causes most of the doom in the princes' life, no restraint because they have an absolute mastery of their own doom meaning they only have to stop when they say so.
