These six are the wackiest shit to come out of this decade I can think of off the top of my head. It seems like action cartoons and fakime are more common now, it this an economic studio issue? Cause if so it still seems odd, a cartoony character seems a lot easier to draw than a realistically-proportioned human.

Like c’mon we need more western cartoons that actually want to be cartoons, feel free to suggest more modern shows like this, gimmie the good stuff.

I feel like art/animation-wise, the best show in the image is The Patrick Star Show, as it actually pulls off the expressive look traditionally rather than using rigs.

Though I will admit that as much I love post-sequel SB and how fun it looks to work on that show it does feel pretty style over substance at times.

You're not gonna find anyone in LA right now who can storyboard proper action set pieces, at absolute best you'll get retards who make spastic action shots by badly copying sakuga WEBMs they saw on Twitter.

The beanmouth slop is basically our current dark age's equivalent to the glorified toy commercials of the 80’s, but the difference here is that the 80’s toy-based cartoons were hated by animators cause they wanted something new and better animated in the industry, meanwhile beanmouth shows are loved and defended nonstop cause the animation industry is full of people who are mentally children who care more about watching slop then the current state of the industry.

lack of funding. it doesnt help that companies aren't trying any more. I went down the toy aisle recently and found just utter shit. Like action figures that you could easily find at flea markets levels of quality garbage.

maybe if execs actually gave a shit about building brands and long lasting customer bases then maybe we'd see some better animation and cartoony toons. now it's just long form shows with vague ideas of lore and story telling.

Getting anime-based shows that are wacky comedies FROM JAPAN ITSELF would result in Red Hot Riding Hood, Who Killed Who? and What's Buzzin Buzzard, telling Japan to make wacky comedies is how we got Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs in the first place.

Laura needed to happen back in 2000, not now, we need new characters like Chucky Chicken, not rehashes like what happening with Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube and Keroro Gunso.
