Why don't they make lost episode creepypastas anymore? Those used to be very scary back in the day.

part of the charm was the believability but no one's gonna believe a studio spent thousands of dollars handcrafting a scary episode no one's going to see. also considering everything nowadays is reported and archived on social media and not on some niche forum

Because it was always a retarded trend that gradually got forgotten as the tweens that came up with it grew up. Also in the digital age where everything is uploaded new lost media isn't much of a thing.

Everything is too well documented and cybersecurity is too good. Back in the 00s the internet had much less information available and television had been hijacked before in recent years. Nowadays everything is too well documented for lost episode creepypastas to be believable or have any merit.

They don’t go on the actual internet, they don’t use computers. They only use apps, they are all on TikTok or other apps and are fully contained on them, not the internet
If you see them it’s only on social media where they can post using their phone and you have access to desktop versions

Mascot horror shit like Poppy Playtime and Banban is gen alpha’s equivalent to lost episode creepypastas, fucked up versions of kids characters made to be found scary by children.

I don't know, but Dave the Useless is creepy kino. That YouTube channel has some original creepypasta lost episode stories and some moments are either scary or outright hilarious.
