I guess going woke with Castlevania Nocturne didn't work out for Netflix. They chased away the normies that loved the 2017 show.

Is it over for animated Castlevania? Or do you think they will attempt to course correct with a different Belmont?

Lets be real, the 2017 show chased away fans of the 2017 show by the end.
This show had no trust from it's audience from the start, and they only proved themselves not worthy of it for the few who decided to stick around.

I didn't post in the thread(s) about it when the latest season dropped because my interest in the show really plateaued with the Lisa resurrection shit and just kind of got lower each season. But as a huge game Maria fan I did actually enjoy what they did with her character in the latest season. And that's really saying a lot because last season I thought she was complete shit. I'd even say the most recent Nocturne season was the best Netflixvania has been since like the 2010s-- not that that's a high bar but it was watchable and I had a decent time.

But yeah even with that I genuinely hope this is the end of it. Better to go out on a relative high note for this show than to inevitably do more dumb bullshit if they get a continuation.

I'd like to see a different Castlevania show made by someone else in the future, like hey maybe an actual Japanese studio this time, but I get that's unlikely. They didn't even do one in like the '90s/2000s when the games were still an actual thing.

The series was doomed from the start but I wanted to contest the idea that it is actually worse than the first series.

Personally, I would just make a straight adaptation of RoB and never address past events or characterizations. I also will never confirm or deny that it is in a different continuity. If I have make Annette Black, I would do absolutely nothing with it. No backstory. No characterization related to it. No explanation. Nobody treats her any different. She speaks perfect English with no accent. No Africanized variation to her name or powers of African origins. Richter is affiliated with the Church. There is no questions asked about it.
