a cartoon thats basically the old gmod animations starring the heavy but legally distinct would make an amazing cartoon even for kids, a lot of them have basically the same formula
>slapstick comedy about a boisterous, out-of-touch meathead having his own strange and outsized solutions to mundane problems that spiral into chaos he only narrowly manages to resolve
the amazing world of gumball has already proven that that odd style of mixing varieties of 2d and 3d animated art styles in semi-photorealistic enviroments that gmod tends to have can work on tv, its basically just the aesthetic vibe of gmod machinima with more polish
and like, a lot of why gmod machinima comedy is special is that its like, a last bastion of animated comedy (outside of like, the minions) thats oriented predominantly around the visuals and how that communicates the characters and situations, instead of having it all be dialogue-based, and since it's 3d, it can actually afford to be interesting with shot composition and camera angles instead of being flat tweened 3/4 perspective garbage with zero energy
i think such a cartoon would have easy international appeal for that reason alone
