I like the choice of choosing a Peter 8 years into his run as Spider-Man, and actually allowing him to deal with his issues like Aunt May passing away.

The 1st game is genuinely a great game. I out it up there with Web of Shadows and Ultimate Spider-Man as amazing Spider-Man experiences. Like the other Spider-Man games it has problems and some boring missions but overall its a good time. The sequals ar just the same shit with less emphasis on web swining so its not really my thing. The wind suit just wasn't it for me and the stories just got worse and worse. Spider-Man 2 (NU) is really badly written. Spin was also introduced way to early.

Stinks both as a Spider-Man story and as an action game. Total Insomniac MJ death.

It baffles me how much this version takes more from TASM and the two awful Disney XD shows than the cómics.

It is actually crazy looking at all the miles suits because it really highlights how little history he has to draw on. I also really hate they cell shaded his suit design from Spiderverse because I think it would look good in the more realistic style.

First one is a genuinely great experience, reignited my love of the character after ten years of OMDs, Sony-verse, and Slotts. The second one shit the bed in the most baffling ways. It’s like Insomniac took all the criticism of the first game, handed it to a bunch of gender-and-race-studies majors, and went “okay make our game with this”. Normally any hate something gets about being “woke” just makes me roll my eyes but the second game was genuinely ruined by “woke”. Allegedly 95% of Tony Todd Venom was cut but we got twenty Mary Jane missions and even a level where you have to play as Miles’ deaf girlfriend. What. The fuck.

2 had bad writing (Nic probably got drowned out by the DEI writers), but the gameplay was genuinely great.

Pre-ordered 1, played it to death at least twice over, platinum'd it (even for the naff, ocassionally bullshit DLC episodes).
Played Miles Morales through once.
Didn't bother getting 2 at launch and after everything I've seen and read about it in the year and a half since, I'm so very glad I didn't waste my money.

Which was better?
