He needs to heal first. That's how it works in our world too. Can't go attaching a prosthetic to bandages that need changing and tissue that's still all raw. We're probably going to miss out on what it looks like since this is the last scene with him and Elka. Maybe someone will use their Kickstarter commission to ask for Emil wearing his new prosthetic.

There is a practical aspect to this: porn is by the far the most annoying thing to process. People are constantly doing charge backs and its a big target for fraud and identity theft.

But that doesn't explain everything, either. There's definitely an aspect of weird moral policing involved here, especially because no one dares defend the worst stuff, even if it's entirely fictional.

It's easy to forget that Emil's made more moves on Elka than the other way around. Her major character motivation has been him, but he's been the one to openly admit his romantic interest in her first and most explicitly, whereas Elka's been the one to brush it off and believe the relationship is impossible.

Get rid of or censor the page where Cara is abused by Starfish or you can't link your webcomic on your Kickstarter to help encourage new readers or give context for your backers. Oh, you won't do that? Then you can't link your comic.

This is Ashley we're talking about, of course she'd make a special standalone chapter one demo that doesn't progress to chapter two rather than change her vision. I just hope there's some way she can push things heavily enough that it's easy for the reader to understand it's a demo version and they need to go to her website to read the whole thing since she seemingly can't cross-link it. That's going to filter out so many potential new readers by being a pain to get past, and potential backers by seeming fishy.

It's not just the usual Big Brother stuff, this is how they enforce their money-less economy. Every bit of "credit" people get for their work is spelled to be tied to the exact person whom it was given to. The breath system is how they make sure money is only being exchanged from the State to the Worker and back again, without ever changing hands with another party.
