Where the Outliers go to the cinema.
Comics in this thread:
>Magik #7
>Laura Kinney: Wolverine #8
>Uncanny X-Men #17
>Losers of the Round Table
lol
Oh that's great. It wasn't enough that Magik couldn't just off Liminal because otherwise Earth would get fucked, now he has taken over the body of the rather pointless sidekick (or "Cal", if you want to be kind).
>>149325594Oh shit we're early
Magik is already finding usage of her new sword that she got last issue.
Thanks for properly introducing these guys to the readers.
Magik seems to be absolutely unimpressed with these guys.
>"The Library of The Fates. It's a nexus for prophetic information."
Is the Endling prophecy also stored here?
Magik has a point though.
>Strange can't be called because he's still stuck in his miniseries.
Oh come on, the last issue of that mini is out today.
Magik's always been kind of distant, why does she care so much about this shota again?
>She hit him with the Kotal Kahn Fatality
Shame that this doesn't kill him.
And here I thought that Liminal was going to have a heart of stone.
And now for Laura Kinney: Wolverine.
Last month we celebrated Laura's 75th issue with the conclusion of the dream world arc and finally not ending the issue on a cliffhanger. This issue we begin another string of issues, starting with the return of Haymaker from the X-23: Deadly Regenesis miniseries from two years ago (which was also written by Erica Schultz).
You know, I honestly expected a proper reintroduction and not "here's the guest star of the issue getting their ass kicked".
That was quick, even for being Round 1.
Hey, it's that woman from Issue #1. Figures that the moment this comic took a break with the endless cliffhangers that we'd return to this plot (that we still don't know much about other than Oasis seems sketchy and being funded by "a benefactor").
>Using the old X-Force outfit
It's probably for thematic purposes only since the Deadly Regenesis miniseries was set around the same time IIRC.
Well, the score is currently 1-1. Who will win the Final Round?
>>149325679Was basically around for the first arc and now she is trying to essentially free him from the same fate of having Darkchylde
>"You're too young to see Murder Me, Mutina, Ivan."
Such a good thing that this is what the Uncanny X-Men issue is about.
And because too many people had asked Schultz when she would return, here's Gabby (and Jonathan is also there, I guess)! Although, what the actual hell has happened to her face?
And of course, it ends on a cliffhanger.
And now for Uncanny X-Men.
Last time we wrapped up the Dark Artery arc that revealed the past of the Haven House and why the Outliers came to it in the first place, while Ransom kissed Temper in the Hellfire Vigil. This time we got another one-shot issue introducing the star of the new mutant slasher movie "Murder Me, Mutina!".
And yes, this page is why I storytimed LK: Wolverine before Uncanny. Although this seems to take place after LK: Wolverine #10.
Wait, Nancy Collins and Joe Hill? What the hell are you guys doing here?
And why does that local concerned citizen feel familiar?
>She got tickets by hacking the site
Guess they couldn't have them watch a camrip online.
get spooked with the dead dad
Again, there's still a live dog inside that thing. Shouldn't you do something about that?
Wait, I do remember you. You're the guy from Issue #6.
>"Ember told me you're leaving."
How did it tell you that? Can the horse talk?
>"They want us all of us to be mutants. Chemicals in the water."
Nope, that was just some WWII Hydra scientist who wanted that so that he could continue experimenting on mutants.
Okay, so Mutina is just a mutant that hates other mutants and is now going to make a profit off of that.
>"De Eye, child. It tell me so."
Did the eye with the cannibal curse also say that you should try putting salt and pepper when eating her?
>"Oh and guess what? They've already greenlit a sequel."
What's it going to be called? "Murder Me Again, Mutina!"?
Next week: Giant-Size House of M, Exceptional X-Men #11, Deadpool/Wolverine #7.
And that's it! If you liked these, support your LCS or whatever.
Today we'll be getting the reveal to the Age of Revelation event

>the X-men are seriously worried about a fucking movie
If the plot was gonna be that the movie would inspire a mutant to go on a murder spree it might have had a compelling message at least but its just another story of a self-hating mutant.
>>149325811>Movie is about a mutant slasher killer>She brings the terror from the terrigen mistWait what the fuck?
I liked this issue of Uncanny. I like Simone. Once she has the space to play in her sandbox, she creates fun comics.
Editorially/marketing wise, I don't know if this should have been "Uncanny". Its by the expectations of that brand, being pulled into bad crossover events, and watering down its premise with the oversaturation of Exceptional and NYX also doing the "Young mutants" thing.
From the Ashes has been a disaster. Adjectiveless and Uncanny are the only decent survivors. And Wolverine too I guess just because he *always* needs to have a volume on sale.
Marvel would be wise to shrink the line down those 3 titles and maybe a 4th if they've got a strong enough premise; there's probably room for an edgy Cable/Deadpool style black ops team.
Maybe do an editorial initiative to spread the mutants back out in other Marvel books. Storm on the Avengers is a good start.
They really need to retreat and refocus the X line. Make people *want* more spinoffs.
There's no reverence for "X-Factor" as a title. It was all for Peter David
The love of "Excalibur" was for Claremont & Davis. The love of "New Mutants" was for Claremont & Bill Sink
>somehow the Magik solo is one of the few FtA successes and sells decently
how?! is it just coomers wanting the covers?
>>149328292It's the most white bitch karen plot ever made. The horror movie is literally just another revenge slasher like I Spit on Your Grave, They/Them, or even the Blackening. When even real minorities know not to act like a shlock-slasher is a second holocaust, it makes the X-Men as a whole look chronically online 30 year old twitshits.
It's time.
>Every so often, a pivotal moment occurs that radically transforms the Marvel Universe, diverting its destiny towards strange timelines and dark futures. This October, in honor of the 30th anniversary of one of the greatest of those aforementioned sagas, "Age of Apocalypse," behold the AGE OF REVELATION, a startling new X-Men event that sees the world reborn in the image of the heir to Apocalypse: Doug Ramsey, A.K.A. Revelation.
>AGE OF REVELATION takes current X-Men storytelling 10 years into the future. After being welcomed onto Cyclops' X-Men with open arms, Revelation set out on the impossible task that Apocalypse entrusted him with: creating a world where only the fittest survived. With his linguistic mutant power amplified to an astonishing new level, Doug commands Earth itself with his voice, reshaping it as a utopian haven for mutantkind. It's a mutant homeland built on an insidious lie, spreading across the planet and wiping out humanity until it becomes a mutant homeworld!
>THE HEIR RISES โ THE RESISTANCE IGNITES! X YEARS FROM TODAY the Revelation Territories stretch from the Atlantic to the Mississippi โ a mutant utopia ruled by the heir of Apocalypse. But beneath the surface, rebellion brews. As a ragtag X-Men team strikes from the shadows, Revelation faces threats from within. It all begins here โ the dawn of the AGE OF REVELATION!
>This week, select retailers will receive a Shadow Drop Variant of AGE OF REVELATION #0, a prelude one-shot by X-MEN (2024) writer Jed MacKay and superstar artist Humberto Ramos that reveals how this new status quo came to be. Starting today, additional copies of this surprise issue with a wraparound cover by Ryan Stegman are now available to order. Retailers should order immediately to receive their copies as soon as possible.
>On October 1, AGE OF REVELATION OVERTURE #1 by MacKay and Stegman serves as a foundational alpha issue for this new era, which overtakes the current X-Men line for the foreseeable future with series evolutions like AMAZING X-MEN, UNBREAKABLE X-MEN, and EXPATRIATE X-MEN, and also impacts the wider Marvel Universe with launches such as RADIOACTIVE SPIDER-MAN, X-VENGERS, and IRON AND FROST. The full scope of AGE OF REVELATION titles is unveiled today, with official series announcements to come next week.
>On being the architect behind the latest X-Men milestone, MacKay said, "Enter... the Age of Revelation! I'm extremely excited to be at the center of this event โ we're traveling to the alien future of the Age of Revelation, where the stories unfolding in the Revelation Territories and beyond will decide whether this is the dawn of a new world, or the end of one. We've been exploring a whole world, and it's been really exciting to see other creators make corners of it their own!"
>Inquire at your local comic shop today regarding the availability of X-MEN: AGE OF REVELATION #0. Check out both X-MEN: AGE OF REVELATION #0 covers along with the cover of X-MEN: AGE OF REVELATION OVERTURE #1 and logos for the new AGE OF REVELATION-set series that will be announced next week!
