I'm not even gonna bother watching it beyond skimming through discussion threads. Honestly dropped South Park after season 27. Dikinbaus was teh tipping point for me. I don't care if alot of people liked it, it was like someone took "Cartmanland" and thought to themselves "Hey, how about we make this episode, but unfunny and with unlikable characters." In retrospect, I should have dropped it after those godawful Streaming Wars specials. South Park is semi-autobiographical for Matt and Trey, they just don't have the experience to write female characters as much as they write their male ones. Its why the girls in South Park all sort of blend together. The girls in the school all act the same, and the mothers all act the same outside of specific exceptions like Kyle's mom and originally Liane but recently she's basically become the same as the other moms.
Matt and Trey are very iffy about letting others contribute to the writing process that I doubt they'd want to have women write the majority of some episodes to allow for more focus on the girl characters.

Speaking of girls, one thing I've noticed for a while now is that the female characters just aren't that funny anymore. In the older seasons, characters like Liane, Sharon, Wendy etc. had their own comedic quirks and moments (Cartman's mom's promiscuty, Sharon digging holes to bury corpses because she though Stan killed them). Nowadays they're just there to play generic sane characters to the boys' wacky stupidity.

Sharon, Wendy, Liane and Sheila were all voiced by Mary Kay Bergman and her untimely death definitely impacted how those characters were used going forward. Yeah, they basically flip flop from "two faced bitch" to "girlboss" depending on what the message of the episode is. But I don't know if female writers would really change this. The actual best chance for more focus on the girl characters is Trey's daughter. Trey's in that stage of his life as a dad where's he's happy putting shit into the show because his daughter is into it. Oh, Betty likes horses? Have an episode about Butters doing dressage. Here's a dumb theory that entered my mind; what if Stan, Kyle and Kenny aren't real? What if the show is about a schizophrenic kid named Stan Marsh and none of his friends are real, just imaginary versions of different facets of his personality?
