Not trying to be a "lol burgers dumb LOL" but American actually do have a very bad education regarding geography and history. Most burger kids know every little about countries outside of America that most of them could not name a city in Europe that isn't a capital. Whenever American shows do the "we go abroad" they want a themepark ride themed around the most overdone cultural stereotypes. If there isn't Big Ben, top hats, and the Royal Guard they'll go "uhh I thought this was supposed to be UK wtf". There's also the aspect that Americans travel abroad less in general because somewhere like Europe is quite far away so most of them only ever go to the "main ones". If they're going to England they're going to London, if they're going to France they're going to Paris, if they're going to Germany they're going to Berlin mainly because they'll only go that one time

I think the problem is that they're unwilling to show that there's more to Europe, even just a little. I mean, look at stuff like 'Wylde Pak', they explain that there's more to Korea than just Seoul with "Woori World" talking about stuff from Jeju Island; or 'Craig of the Creek' with the episode with the Sewer Queen or Raj that showed their grandmothers from the Visayas and Gujarat, respectively.
